yes. ADD + crafting = paying better attention! i like to explain that this gives that part of my brain that would otherwise wander off into left field something to do! i also point out that when they say idle hands are the devil's workshop... they were talking about me!

I am so excited for you Kira! I have been waiting for this video since you told us about it, and then forgot the date! Congratulations on your collaboration with Missouri Star! My son wants to do knitting or crochet (he is 7 now, started talking about it last year) and that was how I found you. Because when your child wants to do something you research and learn how to do it too 😂. He got a project for Christmas and I bought my self a starter pack so we can learn together. Thank you both for all of the inspiration!

Kira sound like a wonderful teacher. I had a Home Ec. teacher in high school who recognized that I knew how to sew. She helped me find one dress pattern that had everything on the curriculum and once that was done I could make whatever I wanted.

Thank you for sharing Kira and Misty. I learned to sew from my mom. I've made a lot of my own clothes and my kids too. Many many years ago😊.

Yes we need to be more gentle with ourselves. The desire to do things we are actually learning perfectly right away is real. We definitely need to remember to be gentle and that it's OK to not be perfect and that it's a process.
