The incredible thing about HSR is that for anyone familiar with the source material, it seems almost impossible to take scenes out of context - it's so tightly written that you can see almost _any_ clip and instantly know the context.
@@woeiscamila it’s a bit different - with most “out of context” compilations you laugh _because_ the scenes have been removed from their context and the new interpretation(s) are funny. Here, I found myself laughing the minute scenes started because I knew everything that led up to them and it was hard to actually “forget” the context while watching it, if that makes sense.
0:42 this clip though, not my favorite, but it’s quite high, although nothing can beat the family might/could, except maybe the theme park episode, or something, all I remember is home star in the blue water that kids piss and or drink
The best part of watching this video is seeing almost every single clip and thinking, "Yep, that's a scene I *still* think of regularly despite how many years it's been" and fully understanding that the words "permanently altered my brain chemistry" is not in any way a hyperbole.

"Dear sir or madam, do you need medical resistance" is basically my go-to if I want to start doing a Homestar impression. Or otherwise just feel it fits a situation.
I used to work as a lifeguard instructor and I'd pull this one out during training all the time. "remember once you get the person out of the water to check if they need medical help. always check physically, but if they're conscious you always ask them as well." cut to me over the cpr dummy "SIR OR MADAM, DO YOU REQUIRE MEDICAL RESISTANCE?" always got a laugh
Me and my older siblings all watched and enjoyed these at the same time even though I was five and my oldest brother was fifteen. They are classics for a reason.

i love watching compilations like this because i sometimes have forgotten how many phrases i still use from H*R. For instance, shouting "SHUT IT OFF!" any time i am getting flustered 5:57. completely forgot that was a teeny tiny girl squad joke lol

Aww man, I wish you kept in Homestars lines of "Aw no, I'm not falling for that prank again" at 7:40 cuz that made me laugh so hard the first time I watched it, ESPECIALLY considering the fact that its implies that Homestar has already 'inserted a baby' before. 😂
This video is what encouraged me to watch this series. I’m moderately young and didn’t grow up with it but man I was missing out! This series is consuming me and permanently altering my vocabulary!
If a form of dementia or any other form of the inability to form new memories ever claim me, I'm sure this would be my way of staying anchored to life 😖

This line constantly plays in my h ad whenever retail customers either overshare out of nowhere something terrible and personal for little reason to a stranger behind a desk, or whenever I ask my friends how are they and they are doing poorly and I have genuine concerns for them but also feel too unable to help, or confused by their reactions if the depressions over the issue seems hyperbolic and very absurd black and white logic.
The fact ive never watched this show before and got reccomended it in my youtube feed really upsets me since this is my exact comedy, especially the "welcome to windows 98... WHY ARE YOU STILL USING WINDOWS 98!?!"

It's so interesting to see this soet of resurgence of HR interest in the last couple of years. I grew up right on the cusp of the hiatus, and it's been so good to get back into it.
I would have all the cool animal options and accessorries. Claws, horns, tusks, tenticals, power doors, 15 year drive train warrenty, proboscus, segmented eyes. "I saw there monstrousity, do you know the times" Is always in my head. And am shocked any part of that isnt here 😂 Honorable mention to "rich" creamy peperoni" though That comes to mind almost as often. Along side "armed to the theeth with my chinese throwing croissant "
My sister and I quote the "I say there, monstwosity...do you know the times??" To eachother anytime there's a goofy looking monster in a movie we watch.

god i love homestar runner such a childhood defining series, and so much of the comedy still holds up. mainly because of how stupid it is. its perfect.
I haven't watched these in so long and yet I still remembered exactly what so many of these were from. It wasn't included here but I still use "It's corn and corn alone day" more often than id like when I'm on a tight food budget.
