This is where I live. I was expecting him to pass by my house---almost did. It's actually quite quiet. I have no problem driving anywhere. People are polite and keep to themselves, but if you're in need---they will always lend a hand. I'm originally from NYC. I moved to Florida in 2004. I first moved to Doral---no Black people on site, and no Boricuas either. I'm Boricua. I felt more at home in Cutler Bay, where I saw many more races living in the same neighborhood. Now, as I said before, this is my neighborhood. I get to see kids running around---how dangerous can it be? It's in the eye of the person that sees. You can see beauty or danger in the people you come across. Being tough is not the same as dangerous. Tough neighborhoods don't equate to dangerous neighborhoods. It's tough because we don't have many things, but what we do have is tenacity, perseverance, and hope. We are tough---means we don't give up. It's sad to me to be told I live in a bad neighborhood when I don't feel the same. Maybe you should get to know people here. I'm not saying bad things don't happen--but if as he said you mind your own business-you'll be ok. This is the same as in Poshy uppity neighborhoods, too; the ones that breed the "entitled," serial killers, and stalkers....LOL. Edit: Boricua is Puertorrican. The true Taino (indigenous people of the island) name is Boriken. We are of mixed race. We have Taino, African, and Spaniard DNA). I mentioned no Boricuas in site because there are mostly Cubans living in Doral, Florida.
I also lived there in homestead also Florida city and leisure city. I was always walking around or riding a bike minding my business..never scared never got robbed or shot at. I actually lived on 6 Ave 21:13. It's not dangerous just gotta be respectful and mind ya business
Homestead Florida Worst Hoods At Night 1717pm 10.11.22 homestead records. my fav record label. not to be confused with anything...as for boricuas? you've lost me..
I've seen Homestead videos (driving) and they all say this ain't dangerous. I'm from Chicago the actual city not the outskirts suburbs and I lived in the Bay area close to Oakland, (the Bay alone is hood) I lived in the Bronx and BK people really don't know what dangerous is 😂. You ain't ducking and dodging bullets every single day in Homestead.
I do a lot of work in homestead!! I am an electrician and appliance tech !! I never had an issue with anyone!! Thank God , I think is getting better every day, the only issue is the driving, but that’s bad in the whole Miami city
I'm 64 years old and live off Krome Ave and I can go to the RaceTracs in those areas at 3 AM alone and have no problems...Those "Hood" guys are very gentleman like and open the door for me and all...I'm often in that area at that time, on my way to Key West for work...Crime usually happens among people who know eachother and have disputes among themselves...Biggest amount of crimes are "Domestic Violence" related...But, most are peaceful families, who live in poverty and mind their own business...If it were not true, 18:48...two white LADIES sitting outdoors at that time of the night, proves me...Thanks for the ride guys...Many blessings to all...A+ for Katie's next test...🙏...Bechitos...
I got one of those houses and finished paying it off many years ago...I did a 15 year fixed...My husband worked for Goodyear 38 years and I worked for AT&T...
I've lived in Homestead since 1988 and yes there's is alot of poverty, food stamps and section eight, but most of the people are nice and hard working and not all are poor. . I use to work at Martin Luther King Clinc on Mowry Drivse for years and now retired. There are sections that are bad at times, but not all of Florida City and Homestead. Usually the violence is beween 2 people having beef with each other over drugs. Most of the time it's pretty quiet. I know what I'm talking about, I have alot of friends that live off of 4th 6th, 11th street, Palm Dr. At least I have never seen violence there.
When I served at a casino in CO, I waited on a family on Mother’s Day. The man had an accent I couldn’t place. At the end of their meal I asked where they were from and the man said “oh, we are from Haiti”. I acted like I saw a celebrity and yelled “Creole people are my favorite, sak pase’”. The man almost fell out of his chair and said “nabule’”. The older woman got up and hugged me tightly while speaking in Creole. That is one of my favorite CO experiences and I have had an awesome time out here. That woman’s smile was better than any day I had snowboarding. I don’t think they expect a middle aged, white chic in a tiny mountain town to know much about Creole people, but when I sold insurance in Lake Park most of my insureds were creole (they were on to Pathfinders long before we were ❤) and my dad lived in Little Haiti for a bit.
Homestead and Florida city are bad locations to live. Both cities have many run-down hoods. Stay away from these hoods unless you like that lifestyle. Not all people or communities are bad, but 85 percent of both cities are to be avoided. Real talk here! Go northern Florida and you’ll be fine.
I swear people don't know what dangerous really is. I'm from Chicago the actual city not the burbs, I have family in Detroit out, Compton, Inglewood, the Bay area as well. We lived where it was active all day every day. Homestead ain't on that. I've seen videos where people say Homestead and dangerous. Property and crime is everywhere. Some places even when you mind your business and respectful you can still lose your life. Ask the many innocent kids and people that happens on the south side of Chicago.
Yeah i mean Homestead ain’t bad but the reason why it could possibly be so bad it’s because of Florida City and that’s right below Homestead. Trust me Florida City is not the place you would want to be in. It’s very ghetto just because it’s all the way down south . There’s nothing in Florida City. It’s a miserable ghetto. Florida City is the murder capital of Florida. I live 20 min up north of Florida City. These people in Florida City are demons .
I’m from Bama, and moved to homestead. I never had a problem at all in Fla, City. I had the time of my life down there. It wasn’t dangerous at all for me..
Of course ur not gonna have a problem bro u were there to visit not be in street activities thats any city nobody gonna bother u unless u do some stupid
Even though it may be that bad there, because of its location, it’s very expensive to live there. With barely any jobs, and high cost of living, it’s a wonder why people turn to crime to make ends meet.
Lived in homestead around 2008 before I moved out to Nebraska in an apartment called homestead colony the apartments that's behind my apartments were sketchy asf
For some reasonI thought you were Cuban not a white guy. Anyway I'll trade that Homestead hood for a Bronx hood any day. Bronx hoods are 90% worse. Being mistaken for someone else and being clipped in the middle of a shoot out are serious problems here too right now.
During the 4 of July around here is 50% fireworks and 50% gunfire. There's so many people on ATVs and dirt bikes the cops don't bother trying to catch them.
Andrew was kind of one of the best things to happen in that area. When I was in school in the early 90s, the racial tension was palpable. But, Andrew knocked the wealthy farmers down to the level of everyone else while people were waiting for necessities like water, etc.
I love traveling & have been all around the United States (26 states), & Hands down, the fastest most aggressive driving Ive ever seen was in & around New Orleans. Damn, I drive FAST, but wow! I was shocked
I lived in Homestead 14 years and yes it's crap now is worse because people from pork and beans projects moved to Naranja and they go at war with Florida city Goons.
I don’t know none of these supposed people from the beans, around here. You YT peons stay making up or repeating fabricated bullshit. Real Gs fuck with each other, anyways. And to be completely honest. Them our blood cousins, in all black neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County. From CC to Exit 1, you marks got to stop spreading bullshit though. All the beefs on this end is all down south hoods beefing. We got our own issues, and btw back the up fuck and live you life more meaning. And remember fakers don’t last..
It used to be worse 20 years ago my house got robbed 5 times and I was broke as shit and on my way back home from school a car pulled up and drove off with my school book bag
I lived in PA It's going to be a culture shock for you just Florida period.I would say just be aware of your surroundings. If you are black in my experience the Cubans treated us like shit
Great video but there are other areas that are much worse that u didn’t drive thru. U should have driven west on Lucy about 1 1/2 miles down fro Krome ave and made a left there u would have seen something else.
Papo that’s not a bad place just don’t mess with the wrong person and you will be good..Now pork and beans Miami fl liberty city that’s the most dangerous place in Miami Dade county..But please don’t drive there I’m just saying what’s bad out there…
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS did I not say parts of Hialeah. Maybe where you live is fine. How am I racist for suggesting that. Also Hialeah is way larger than Fl city.
Not many whites in Homestead and Florida city so you wouldn't see racism so much. Were we had problems were from the white cubans.Horrible racism .But the racism
