Might sound bad, but I rarely change my animals' water. It's easy to treat animals like they're humans and give them human characteristics, but I swear that they crap in their water on purpose (goats and chickens), and I bet they have a reason why they do it.

Yea, the mrs likes to change out their water every day. I am for changing out their water but not everyday. Three days is when i will change it out to prevent algae from forming

Rabbits, ducks and geese but the most interesting to me are your American Bresse. Hopefully you will put together a great flock which can continue on to other farms.

We are going to do a comparison between the Cornish X vs the American Bresse to see if the meat to feed ratio is even worth it for homesteaders to raise the American Bresse. I feel they are since they are more sustainable and do not require a lot of feed. They may take longer but If you can raise them all year without the high mortality rate of the Cornish it should be well worth it.
