For real bunch of these comments sound like they’re coming from people who don’t understand how life works and don’t realize how sweet of a deal Will is getting. Young man’s basically got a paid internship with no rent in the field he’s interested in while still doing his normal YT content things. People just wanna focus on the numbers and they’re not seeing the full picture.

To all of those saying Nate is taking advantage of Will. Before Will left New Mexico, he said in his video that he had many offers. But after many talks with Nate, he CHOSE to take Nates' offer. They came up with a deal that works for them. Will is going to have a place for the winter, and Nate is going to help him get his own setup and teach him as they go along. Everyone, just sit back and watch Will do what Will does best, work, learn, and live life. Just saying......

Its really sad to see the community try to destroy will and nates relationship before its even started. There are dumb youngins who say bs do what you want and old dumb dumbs who just think the worst of will. When I heard my two favorite homesteaders were joining forces, I was excited, but this is starting to become drama network due to the fans. Will be careful with the police, not because he is bad but because its a backwoods and there will be no accountability. Cops in those areas have little to no oversight.

Nate taking advantage comments- Inaccurate. Will is an apprentice. This type of relationship has been a part of humanity since we lived in caves. And Nate is a mindful, ethical chap with an amazing skill set to share. Will is in a great situation. So is Nate.

@@birdsflybyy everyday life there will be people that surround you who drink, smoke, believe in different religions, etc. that's life. I don't see any red flags other than it can be a pain to live with other people especially on someone else's property. I do agree he should buy his own land but he doesn't seem to have the funds to just do that otherwise he could have. Right now he's making money and is gaining experience which both lead him to getting his own land/place to live. It's not an instant thing but he seems to be working towards that.

I think the majority of his audience is younger people. Us older folks are here, though. I enjoy seeing the young people get after it. When you're young like most of them, you're still obliviously naive. They don't see the experience and lessons in it. All they see is "YOUR NOT PAYING ME ENOUGH!" people seem to get more and more materialistic as time goes on.

I agree! Also, don't think that the standing house is proof that water will never get up that high. Look at how floods and other weather related events are getting more extreme. 100 year floods happen every five years these days. I think you're doing just fine. : )

Thanks for supporting Will n Jesse! They were apart 2.5 mo Sept-Nov when Will went to Luckys in NM, longest they’ve been apart since 6th grade. Jesse went to visit Will in NM in Nov n drove home w him the 1 week Will left for his moms bday n a rap show w DJ Lucas in PDX, n Jesse decided to return to NM that week. Initially thinking he’d be home for Xmas…great adventure.

Unfortunately, it’s not the old days and with everything we do being monitored by big Brother it’s important that we pick and choose what we wish to share with the world so that it doesn’t come back to bite us in the behind later. States and Feds are indicting rappers with criminal Rico charges based on lyrics in their music videos and stuff! It’s just a matter of time before big Brother starts to use technology to do the same type of stuff with administrative laws that are disregarded and other civil matters! Heck, a lot of data from the apps in our phones are accessible by our auto insurer who are able to monitor our behavior and that’s how they base our insurance rates on our driving and whatnot

I was homeless for many, many years. My earlier years from 17-20 where spent roughing it in the woods. Lots of knowledge gained, although in my case, it wasn't a choice. I had some mental health and addiction issues that left me incapable of working normal jobs long term it did make me resilient. This kids' story is truly inspiring. I love it that someone is taking him under their wing and giving him something to do. ❤ Keep plugging away will! I will keep watching.

The best thing I’ve ever done was to focus on my older self, I make sure I will be financially secure, healthy, and safe. It’s helped me make good decisions along the way. Like not acquiring debt, paying extra on the house so it will be paid off. Will is a smart man, especially when you realize how young he is. He knows what he’s doing, and knows to ask when he doesn’t.

You gain so much real world experience doing the difficult jobs. And one day, you'll be needing to do those same difficult jobs on your own property. Nate is giving you so much more than money: he's giving you knowledge and experience. And that will keep paying off for the rest of your life. One day you'll be a middle aged man, and you'll sit back and reflect on everything you learned during this time working for Nate, and you'll thank him and thank yourself for putting in the time and effort.

Yes sir I'm 40 and I always look back at the summers I spent at my grandfather's if not for him I wouldn't have the work ethic I have. Getting up at 4am every morning too begin taking care of all the livestock on the property then after that we started on property maintenance 😊

I completely understood what you were saying when you said you think you’re smarter than you are hardworking. You don’t WANT to do things but you’re smart enough to know it WILL benefit you if you put the work in. I just found you, Will. My only advice to you is to not let the negative comments affect you. Protect yourself and get everything you can from your situation. Ask as many questions as you can! I doubt you’re bugging him. He WANTS to teach!

@grarglejobber7941 will made the choice to go out there, he had other options. Considering that he also gets to stay on the land, the agreement isnt predatory. Will agreed to the deal, that means that if he didnt agree he wouldve gone somewhere else. Once youre in his position, youre allowed to judge. Otherwise ill assume the guy knows what hes doing

Good to see kids like Will and you trying your damndest to achieve whatever brings your soul joy! My husband of 23 years, our 18 yr old son, our 2 dogs and I have been trying for the past 2 years to finish building our cabin on the 7.5 acres with a creek that we bought after losing our 5 bed home during Covid. It’s been a slow and tough process but we aren’t ever giving up! Never give up cause nobody likes a quitter! 😉

@32:50 is exactly what was said before an accident has occured, as a safety guy who's almost 35 now I can attest to what nate has said about taking a break or taking your time, also you know how silly you sound going on about "focusing really hard" when the unexpected happens. Really surprised Will is not taking advice on chain saw safety. Nate did a video suggesting Will could be more careful. Nate didn't force it, just suggested being careful is a wise, mature thing to do. Really worries me that Will doesn't listen normal advice from people who have experienced suffering by not listening. Like chain saws and licenses. Everyone talks about how much Will will learn - but he will learn NOTHING if he does not listen to sage advice.

@@Dubyea, tripping, dude. Nate and Will are collaborating. Nate is paying Will $10/hr. Yes, a low wage but Will is now exposed to Nate’s subs and is likely gaining subs. The converse is true for Nate. Nate promotes Will and allows Will the time to continue the production of his own RU-vid videos. In case you haven’t seen so far, Nate is letting Will be Will. He’s not micromanaging him. Will is doing the same thing he’s been doing to support himself, making content. He’s not being controlled to not make content and only getting paid $10/hr instead. He gets $10/hr for helping Nate *and* he gets to make his own content *and* he gets to maybe learn a thing or two from a homesteader who *has* property. Tripping, dude.

Will is doing what he loves, learning while doing it, profiting from the content and growing his platforms which is what he wanted, he is creating life long friends, family and connections, and special memories to go along with them. And the cherry on top, Nate Is paying Will, & mentoring Will. People saying Will is getting the short end of the stick must not know what life is. Will is winning in every aspect of this situation. 32:48 - Remember that live trees are going to move around a lot different than the high altitude trees you were cutting at the last place. Stay careful with the chainsaw and expect the weight to move around a lot differently. Remember that there's always chances to learn more about something, we know you know how to use a chainsaw but keep in mind these trees might feel different than what you've been working with
