This was chilling! Teens feel things so intensely and can't see that their lives can change. Also, in my opinion, some view life like it's a video game and become a bit numb to death and violence. There's little personal face-to-face interaction. Texts are easy to send because you don't see the other person's face or their reactions or emotions. I'm sure we will hear more of these types of cases in the future.
Someone who is suicidal is very vulnerable and the last thing they need is someone egging them on to do it. She ensured he died instead of ensuring to get him help. Sickening! To feed her own little needy ego, she killed her boyfriend. If she has kids in the future, they need to be protected as she probably would make them sick on purpose just to get the attention and people’s sympathy.
@@Verawnique I'm a guy diagnosed with anxiety and depression, am 50 this year and have been fighting it since my 20's. I was raped many times over and over starting at 9 years old. It's not even the physical part of it that bothers me, its the emotional bullying I received by those around me for being quiet and shy because of the rape, they didn't know but bullying the quiet and shy is the worst thing you can do, don't people think there's a reason for being like this? I also have High Functioning Autism.

In Australia we have laws in place; under the telecommunications, online bullying and coercion. We have had a few very devastating deaths attributed to online investigations. Sentences are significant here. Let’s hope your Justice system catches up soon.
It's 2024 and I can report that the Mass State legislature has done nothing in 2023. Absolutely zero. This is just the icing on the cake when it comes to this current legislature body. I will be getting in contact with my state rep and senator about Conrad and my wish that they vote it into law.
So who would the parents had blamed if he had succeeded in his FIRST suicide attempt? The way I see it, she only stayed with him while he died on HIS terms so he would not die alone. Maybe mom and dad should have got their son help if he was suicidal.
They wouldn't have blamed anyone because it was solely his choice the first time. However THIS time, the time that's being spoken about, NOT the 1st time, the parents can blame them both. But she shares responsibility. She told him to get back in the car, he listened.

I think she was culpable in the fact that she told him to get back in the truck, they didn't cover it here, but I saw an in-depth docu on this case, and several times he tried to back out of it, and she talked him right back. She's culpable because she knew what he was doing/planning and while it was in motion she didn't call any help for him.
I can't imagine being a teenager in this day and age... Some teenagers are just pure evil, non human beings... Michelle should have received life with no parole... RIP young man.

The first abhorrent thing is not being illegal to coerse\convince\support someone to commit suicide. Next, that girl should have gotten a few years in jail and many more in a psychiatric facility. That wasn't only her depression playing a part, she was actually evil.

Kids often think very black and white.. and divorce often is played out to be something that has to do with just the parents but kids internalize it and that’s where the blaming happens. Parents have to work very hard to reassure there kids it’s not there fault and have the uncomfortable conversation with them. “Divorce” even if amicable the the death of a relationship and it can be traumatic for kids
Children don't know any better. They will sacrifice themselves for their parent's pathology and try to fix the parent - because they depend on the parent. If children didn't need their parents, it would be a moot issue. But because they are supposed to be our protectors, we'll lay down our lives for them. It's a natural phenomenon.
A teenager, once again seeking attention, coerces her friend to kill himself. Heaven forbid if she actually CALLED him and talked to him like a normal human being. A year in prison and she’s set free? She should have been sentenced to a minimum of 10 years and allowed to have a cellphone but without an internet connection. Lord Jesus.
I can`t imagine the damage a divorce of my parents would have done to me as a child / teen. I loved both of my parents, a divorce would have prob totally distroyed my young heart....
We need to concentrate on our cups being half Full not Half Empty , enjoy the little things , always be greatfull every second that you breath , and who your breathing g with , put your self in happy but simple happy situations , be happy in every situation ,life is to short , enjoy every second , stay clear of negative people ! Heterosexuals who choose to bring life into the world, please pause and KNOW how significant your role as parent is to ANY child born, Having the reverence for this act so that you appreciate what it means to be heterosexual and to never stop having reverence for that act so any child born to you KNOWS he or she is adored. If you lose reverence for your lover, at least have the respect to stay together civilly so the child/ren KNOW they are loved and cared for into their adulthood. I'm shocked how many parents are so childishly selfish to not remember they have a child that NEEDS their ongoing attention into adulthood. PLEASE respect your sexuality.
