Meet J Mascis - he has released twelve albums with Dinosaur Jr. and more than a dozen albums and seven-inch records as a solo artist or with bands such as Upsidedown Cross, J Mascis and the Fog, J and Friends, Witch, and many others. His most recent project is Unknown Instructors, an improvisational rock band, with Mike Watt and George Hurley from the legendary Los Angeles jazz-punk trio Minutemen.
Homeward Bound is a new series from Marshall, where our favourite artists invite us into their homes. Join us as they open their doors to discuss music, design and style - unfolding the story behind their home interior.

I sat in my chair as I was going to watch a complete cool documentary, NOPE. God, that house with that decoration, in that location and absolutely full of instruments, it is just like HEAVEN. Paradise.

I saw it, Nirvana was good. I remember it was the first time I had seen a punk/rock band with great harmonies live. Jesus Lizard opened and the singer put the microphone up his rear end. Dinosaur Jr. was very loud and a bit messy, to be totally honest. I still had the time of my life, though!

Amherst, MA!!!!!!!!! I'm from Chatham, MA and was lucky enough to see these guys in their homespot right next to amherst in Northampton. 3 hour drive from my house. First concert and it was TIGHT!!!!!!!!!

I loved this. Mascis is a deity. It says that J.'s latest project is with George Hurley and Mike Watt from "Minutemen," but let's not erase fIREHOSE from the record. I actually liked fIREHOSE more than Minutemen, which I know is heresy.
