Homeworld 3 - Mission 4: Kala Terminus 

I think it is, but keep in mind that I'm not a professional game critic. I'm just some dude whose been playing Homeworld games since he was 10 years old. (And that was 20 years ago) I got to see more of the beautiful environments Homeworld is known for, hear even more of that magnificent music, bask in the glory of the new ship models, join with my dad in team matches against the computer just like old times, and I got to have that emotional farewell/passing of the torch with the old protagonist. (I happen to like the deeply personal story between Imogen and Karan. Imogen and the Incarnate Queen? Definitely not so much. XP ) Also, I've been spotting Easter Eggs and references to the previous entries in the series scattered throughout the game, like the DoK Baserunner rolling around on Hiigara and the much improved reimagining of HW1's asteroid field mission. On the whole, I'm a satisfied player whose two-decade cravings for a full-on Homeworld sequel was satisfied.

Homeworld being one of the first games I ever played, that's good enough for me. Seen a fair bit of footage but was concerned the gameplay and story might've fallen short of what we well, grew up with
