i had one of these for about 2 months it was terrifying for its time 140-150 and how fast it got up there and bloody heavy but what a monster it was and it was mine me and my friends were always buying bikes and swapping good old days i got to say

You cant beat the sound of those multi cylinder honda engines. Had a cb600 f and it sounded awesome when opened up.

When I showed my riding friends this, one said "They all brought their vintage bikes to ride around a race track, except that one guy that brought a vintage bike to race around the track".

This is bike is basicly when Honda-san himself said to his engineer : "Do what ever you want, we have unlimited money" Thus the CBX1000 is born

Been a long time since this video was posted, but I'm curious - anyone know if this was a stock CBX, or what was added to it, other than the Hall ignition kit? I've seen this video a dozen times or more now... every time I see it, I am saddened that I once had the opportunity to buy one back in the early 80's for about $3000... just didn't have the money at the time... sure, there may be better handling, more horsepower, lighter weight motorcycles out there... but still, this is a dream bike to own, and ride... and I've had the pleasure to ride some of the best... Love this Video!
