perfect timing on this video. Nowwww to remove the flywheel with that flywheel puller tool that I definitely bought in advance.

i needed the entire stator to rebuild my engine, buying a CDI + regulator + rectifier was cheaper. However, i used to have a Sachs moped with stock points ignition and i could reset the point gap on the side of the road in under 5 minutes. i appreciate both.

All Good, But will be better if you would also show F and T points and point gap by moving magnet wheel after adjusting it using light gun

I tried the case screw wrench trick to hold the flywheel… and bent my case screw :( Any other recommendations for holding the flywheel to loosen the bolt?

Maybe some penetrating compound like PB blast, and try to find a wrench or some kind of metal object that is a correct amount of length so the stress on the bolt is pushing at where the bolt threads into the engine frame, as opposed to drifting out towards the head of the bolt like my wrench is doing in the video…. I was more concerned with the smaller bolt not getting bent and was just using a random lengthed wrench… if it was a little shorter it would have been more ideal for breaking a tough nut.

…OR…! Some kind of metal or hardwood spacer that is between the flywheel bolt and the floor pointed more towards the left side of the of the flywheel, so when ur hammering all the force is going into the ground.

Thanks @dotdotmatrix. I ended up buying a clutch/flywheel holder. While I waited for that to arrive, I put several applications of WD40 on the nut. Then, once I had the holder tool, I braced that against the floor, and tapped my ratchet with a hammer until it broke free.

“If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.” …. was that helpful?
