Honda Accord V6 Straight Pipe Exhaust Backfires & Pops!!!!

Sorry for the quality from my gopro.... will upload more videos soon
The reason for my exhaust backfiring excessively is due to my mods
Mods:
3" Custom Cold Air Intake
Straight Piping (stock piping diameter)
Mufflers, Resonator & Third Cat Deleted
Stock J-Pipe
Gutted only 1 of the 2 precats
*it sounds raspy under low rpms from 3rd gear on but its not that bad

Basically guys I recommend for anyone who will do preciate delete to get resonators at least 2 or one ultra quiet one and it will help a lot and sound good

To get the J pipe and a cat delete the front then from Che Pibe all the way back run just piping with performance silencers and stock muffler one muffler

Nah no worries bro. A Ktuner is a software platform used to Tune Honda and Acura engines. The basic one is 450 dollars, The touch screen one is 650. I have the touch screen one. It allows you to upload tunes to your cars stock ecu and make all kinds of adjustments for power. The k tuner even comes with 2 preset tunes. If you have a honda or acura its a great investment

Chris Armstrong ok do you seem like you know a lot more than me so. I have a v6 accord. I want to cut the exhaust right before the cat. If I did that do I need to get my car tuned and if I did that would I need to weld a pipe to the back so it don’t explode the gas tank or would I be fine

@@G66LUCIFER What year is your accord? V6 accords have Pre Cats rather than normal catalytic converters. The Precats are essentially built into your header which is very inefficient. I would say your best bet is to buy the Rv6 performance precat deletes. Those simply bolt on nice and easy and come with spacers. You wont have a check engine light and it will run just fine. From the J pipe back you could cut it all off and throw on straight pipes.

i had my accord done - small resonator, 3rd cat and muffler delete, its not raspy, and its not too loud, Personally i feel like if you got that broken cat fixed it would sound fire as fuck and probably run smoother..or delete both and get it tuned so it doesn't ass fuck your car.

Jose Vega I deleted my 3rd cat, but yeah it’s basically from the cat back. 3 inch piping. It sounds really good, nice and deep. I recommend it.

Thanks bro so yes I felt more top end but loss a lot of low end so I would honestly recommend a muffler or a 3” single exhaust would make it gain a lot of power and Torque

Dayvion Wright so I removed the radiator and fans in the front and removed the front pre cat, but if it’s hard to remove then u just get a extension and hammer and break thru what’s in the cats, the rear was a pain in the butt, so I never got that one done

They sound good man. Just this one doesnt. Mine had most the exhaust off and sounded nice. Was fucking loud tho!! But his deffinitely doesnt sound right. Mind u my cats aren't gutted. Not sure why someone would ever do that but🤷🏻‍♂️

Got the same exact car same color same everything. I got the long ram cold air intake, headers, cat delete and straight pipe still have one resonator on tho, duel exhaust it tends to pop but does not seem to backfire at all, gonna change it to single exhaust soon

Yeah these v6 accords dont backfire very much even with no cats. I cant figure out why. Maybe because they're drive by wire instead of a throttle cable.?

look up a 3800 v6 that sounds like a v8 with a cam ALOT i mean it is based off an engine from the 50s and the engine its based on was a v8 with 2 cylinders chopped off
