I have a 2012 Honda Fit. Dealer wants $178 just to replace the motor. This video was a godsend. Reservoir w/motor is approx $46 at AutoParts Warehouse. Kudos!
WOW!! Glad I could help save you some money!! Thanks for the awesome comment!! Please share and subscribe. I have other #honda videos that may help you out in the future.
***** You would have to look for the placement of the reservoir and see if it is in the same spot, if so, it will most likely be the same. I do not have a 7th gen Civic to check out. Sorry.
Thank you for the very informative video! Really helps rookies like me. I didn’t realize you could do this with a normal car jack. Will attempt this repair this week. Have a blessed week
I am a rookie. This was the first time I ever did anything like this. Was a bit nervous but it was far easier than I expected. Good luck and I know you can do it. Come back and let me know. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video. Enough info to know how to get at the resivoir. A couple of tips though : 1. Those clips don't come out so easy and most broke. You can order them from amazon or ebay. I would do this ahead of time as there will likely be several broken around the car. 2. For me the hose was cracked, and the reservoir was fine. Just needed to fix the hose. I would inspect before buying the reservoir.
Thanks for the great video. Looks like the hardest part is to move the shroud and the clips out of the way without damaging the shroud. The shroud and the clips look flimsy.
I had a pack rat chewed hose I was able to splice and fix my leak. Only cost me a hose splice for .25 cents. Your video was helpful in getting to the tank and hose to troubleshoot my problem. Thanks for posting.
I'm going to take mine out in my 09 civic. I had an ex girlfirend break into my car and she poured motor oil into my washer fluid reservoir. Wish I had evidence to press charges... But taking it out and cleaning it should hopefully be easy. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for your comment. Sorry to hear about the unfortunate event with your ex. Glad my video can help you get it cleaned out. Good luck and stay away from crazy chicks. LOL! Take care.
She probably thought that's where it went ; ) was likely trying to do you a favor so you would forgive her and take her back. Better oil in the washer fluid then washer fluid in the oil. Did she leave the oil jug behind?. : )Tyler If interested in the Cure and Prevention of cancer let me know and I will explain, Not a joke.
Safety First not last have a future and a past ; ). Thank you for the video. Quick question for you, wondering if there is a drainage port with plug? I have a 2008 Honda Accord, She's full with Summer washer fluid I now need to switch to the Winter fluid Thanks : )Tyler
Hmm. It has been a while since I did this video but I do not remember a drainage plug. Sounds like you may need to get a siphon pump and pump out the old for the new. Sorry I don’t have a better solution.
@@mitchcox Smart Man, agreed. : )Tyler I have left a comment in the comment section of your video explaining the natural cure and prevention of cancer if interested.
I have an 01' Civic that needs the reservoir or at least the sensor replaced. Would you imagine it is similar to the Accord? By that I mean close the wheel well so as not too difficult to get at?
I am not sure. I don’t have one of those. I would check and see on yours if the location is the same or similar. If so the process should be pretty close to the same.
The only thing difficult about this job is getting it out, which is the only thing you didn't show. Useless, maybe next time you make a video you could skip the lesson in how fasteners work and ACTUALLY SHOW his to remove the part?
