Just bought one today. 30/4/21 Amazing bike. Everything you say is true. I'm in the Philippines in a small village where the roads are pick your rock or bump/pothole to hit. Excellent handling. Suspension unbelievably good. I am 75 wife is 65 and we are rocking. The highway from the west coast to the east coast of our island cuts through the jungle mountains and deltas. Handling the ups and downs and the tight, tight curves this bike is brilliant. It has remarkable agility and smooth smooth ride. Great review. Thanks gentlemen. I would recommend this bike to anyone who needs this combo. Highway or rough country road. Cheers
My 2022 Honda ADV 150 is a great scooter. After about 500 miles this scooter really limbers up. I currently have about 2,600 miles averaging about 104 mpg. Up hill pulls are effortlessly done with extra pulling power making the crest. To achieve speed up to 45 mph is so easy and quick leaving the rider with still enough power to get out of the way of other traffic. Top speed observed is 67mph and I weigh 220lbs.👍
I am really amazed at the little amount of effort it takes to put this scooter on center stand. I use the center stand a lot when parked for stability and storage in garage. I have a 2022 model and just loving it. Great Honest Review 👍
I brought one of these, I ride it around Thailand in the jungle, on dirt roads, on beach sand, in the suburbs and on the motorway, my experience with this bike is has been pretty much as you guys describe, I think it is as advertised it's a well made, versatile/capable fun little bike, it would be pretty awesome if they made a 250 Variant !
I own a 2022 Honda ADV 150. Leaving any stoplight I’ve never had a problem leaving the traffic behind. This scooter is quieter and smoother than any scooter I’ve owned in my last 40 yrs.👍😀
This was the best motorcycle/scooter video that showed pretty much next to nothing of the actual machine in action. You two went over a lot about the ADV 150 and explained the good, the bad, and the indifferent. Great job guys. Great job indeed. Cheers! :)
Yeah thanks guys great review it’s the first one done in English I’ve found , like I was stoked with it before and it was presented in Tagalog but yeah love it I just want a hassle free motoring around good job
Thanks for the review! Most are not in English. I have a Grom I use for my food my delivery business and I’m looking to take a step up without getting too heavy. I use a Mototote rack to carry my bike on the back of my camper minivan and my tongue weight capacity is 350. This bike would be perfect for deliveries and travel! Now I just have to find a dealer in MI to sell me one!
Or, if you must have a Honda (a very good choice) for both travel on the back of your 4-wheeler and food delivery, the recently released CT125, which will equal and beat the fuel economy of this and which will be OK after a few years of casual off-road use - moreso than this I would have thought. I have a had a 2015 PCX150 for commuting since 2016 and it is very good indeed. 50 kiloemtres per litre. / About 145 miler per UK gallon (4.5 litres). Easy to service. Very smooth through traffic. That might fit your needs, too. Personally, for a 150, no matter what name Honda gives this, it's too high a price for a 150 scooter. Just my opinion.
Great video, fellas. I've been looking to get back into motorcycling, but I don't anything as large, fast, or expensive as my last two bikes. Just something fun to cruise around on. I think I'm sold!
Back here in the Philippines some people complain that the rear brake is not ABS. It is very nice to hear that you pointed out the purpose of it being non ABS.
Just got off the phone with my local Honda shop...they had one and sold immediately, next order of 4 will be here Sept 9...one of those will be coming home with me
Appreciate the feedback gentleman! I have been eyeing up the PCX150 for years. Then, this came to the market. At first, I didn't understand what Honda was trying to achieve, but after seeing one in person I was very impressed. It doesn't look like a scooter, but more so an adventure bike. Hence "ADV" :) Since I have zero interest riding on highways this bike seems perfect for what my riding style would be. From my research, the ADV seems to be a little faster than the PCX150. Not huge, but maybe 5-10mph more. Again, I am not interested in speed, but it would be nice to have the little extra "oomph" when you need it to either pass or get out of trouble. As far as fit and finish, the ADV150 certainly impressed me in person. Your review was helpful, so thank you. I feel this would make the perfect fit for me. I'm still not over the PCX150 quite yet, but this one is starting to grow on me each week. Time will tell. :) Take care and be safe out there guys. BTW, I have a new ADV150 FB Group for the United States! Here's the link: facebook.com/groups/329305788241168 Please join this group if you live in the US and want to discuss this awesome machine with others! Take care. :)
Great Review!, I recently bought one and to be honest better handling & riding than Yamaha's scoots (Nmax or Aerox) of course don't expect raw power since it only have 2 valves engine compared to 4 valves. But if your looking for comfort, handling, quality, style, fuel saver and Chill Ride...get one you will not regret it. Peace and Ride Safe Guys & Gals!
I just traded my 2009 Yamaha Vino 125 which I bought new and enjoyed for 11,000 miles of trouble free maintenance. Purchased a new 2022 Candy Red 2022 Honda ADV 150 8-10-2021. Currently I have about 300 miles on scooter and can’t wait to ride some more. This scooter has smoother acceleration, riding and braking than my old Yamaha. Being water cooled I’m hoping for many trouble free riding miles. Great Reveiw👍
This was a great Informative Review i currently own a 2016 Kymco People GTi300, & i have been considering this Scooter for some time now as a 2nd Scooter, along with the Yamaha SMax 155 but can't get that new anymore. The fact that you two was impressed with its performance leaves my very little doubt I'll be impressed with it myself I'm not a big guy by any means 5'9 138lbs .
How would the ADV150 compare to the CT 125 if you wanted to use it for bringing with your class C camper to get around in National Parks, thanks enjoyed the review.
I just bought mine in April. Im not sure how much has changed since yall made this, but yalls critique is pretty fair. There were some things that you addressed that i found to be my biggest complaints. That being the acceleration and the over all speed. Now this is my first 2 wheeler, so I dont have much to compare it too. Ive done a lot of research into how to improve the areas that just dont cut it. I installed a Malossi fly bell clutch and changed the contra spring, and I change out the variator and weights. Those im still playing with, but I think Ive got a decent set up at the moment. Im gonna install a tachometer here coming up shortly. I mean im hitting 50+ in 10-15 seconds. and it fires off the line. I cant tell you how many guys in 90,000 dollar sport cars that I beat off the line and see how fast I get ahead of them so quickly, that its inevitable that they find redemption in blowing past me doing 60 or 70 in a 30 just to justify that 90K. I would differ though on getting this bike 55-60+ on the stock wheels. The front is 14" and the rear is 13" kinda small for maintaining the 55+ speeds. 50 feels solid in a straight away even 55, but past that there is a noticable loose feeling with any line of sight change, and if youre surrounded by cars blowing past you doing 60-70, that wind can push you around a little because of the sub 300 wght.
I just achieved 1,000 miles on my 2022 Honda 150 ADV . Got it broke in just before winter hits here in Iowa. Enjoying it very much so far. It has meet all my expectations.👍😃
I took a quick test ride on the ADV150 yesterday. It was fun, comfortable, and rode very nice. It's 300 lbs of scooter, so it feels more substantial on the road than my Monkey. Everytime I ride a scooter, I am reminded how weird they feel not having anything to grip with my knees. While comfortable, the bars felt a little close. Would be nice if the cables and brake lines had enough slack to install some risers that pushed the bars forward some. I don't think it'll be something you stand up on like a dual sport or ADV bike. Plenty of leg room for my 34 inch inseam. Neat scooter, but I don't think I'd pick it over my Monkey.
I put a Yoshimura exhaust on it last year, I got tired of deer just walking right out into the road as I approached, pretty much invisible. Now with the Yoshimura I can see them darting away from road into the woods. It is loud, I had to order the silencer to tone it down, very loud but not as obnoxious with the silencer.
Great review guys. I appreciate honesty. Having said that, do you think an ADV150 could tackle some of the BDRs? I'm not thinking Lockhart Pass, but most of the others seem to have lots of double tracks. Thoughts?

@@weigelji1 well there are some footages here in RU-vid for ADV 150 doing light off road (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LgPXsC3xocI.html for example). Ground clearance is higher than other scooter around 165mm instead of 135mm like other scooters. Just careful with flying rocks I would say since you don't have metal skid plate.
Very comprehensive review. I rode an ADV 150 thinking I’d replace my 2013 PCX 150, but despite loving so many aspects of the ADV (especially the suspension!) I couldn’t give up on the PCX because it feels noticeably faster. Any chance we’ll see a ADV vs. PCX drag race?!?
@@mnnthbx They don't sell them in Canada, where I am. The closest American stores don't sell them either. It's an awesome looking scooter, but I don't think I can buy one. :(
I have had my eye on this since it was announced. Never owned a scooter, but always thought it'd be fun. I think I'd have one if I didn't already have and love my Honda Monkey. These are hitting dealers now. My friend texted me a pic of the one that came in today. Another area dealer here in the Austin area got one the other day.
@@UserDoesNotExist00 RideNow Austin had a couple when I stopped by there two days ago. I don't think RideNow Georgetown (where my friend works) had any when I was there two days ago.
Aaron Behind Bars Ah ok I was actually thinking of going to Kent Powersports in Kyle like in a week or so to get one but if there turns out to be none I’ll probably go to Ride Now Austin

I just bought one today. I have a heavily modded screaming Grom that rips but cant cruise. The ADV 150 Cruises but doesn't rip. Now i can be a hoodlum on my Grom or relax on the ADV 150. It feels like a little gold wing!🤣😂
*Yeah...I was 'sold' as soon as I saw the rear-shocks set-up and it's a HONDA!* ( *The perfect marriage of 'scooter' and 'traditional manual-shift motorcycle'* ) *It would be a great companion for my '08 Honda 'Metropolitan' which 'goes with the house' when I croak* *I will never let my 'Metro' go...not after nearly 5-years of faithful service and still looks and performs as 'showroom fresh' and is the single-most reliable vehicle I've ever owned in 67-years* ( *A few minor 'performance' mods w/a stock-engine & exhaust results in 42-mph w/a 230lb. rider with the 'Mighty Fifty' humming like a turbine and hauls more groceries than you'd ever think possible* ) __________ *The 'Metro' does NOT 'like' off-road...but cautious riding results in 'Yeah, it'll do it and a helluva' lot faster than I can walk or run'* ( *Pot-holes are a nemesis...the front/rear cannot handle nasty pot-holes w/o 'slamming' the entire scooter and possibly damaging the front-end* ) ___________ *'Foot-pegs?* Yeah...I solved that issue w/a sawed-off '2x4' and it works quite well on the floor-pan* ( *Not 'fast' of course...but well enough at slow speeds which is all the 'Metro' can withstand on rough ground anyway* ) *I'm certain 'folding-pegs' can be installed on the 'ADV' w/o too much trouble*
How much weight did y’all put on it? like how much weight was you and your wife combined together? Because I want to carry a passenger but I’m not sure if it would be too heavy for the ADV
Brilliant. I'm eyeing one of these off in the very near future to, replace my Grom. Was great to hear some informed and articulate opinions without just rubbishing it for not being the 'big' bike that most people seem to want. I subscribed too. Thank you!
...and on that note, I just picked one up today. Had to sell my Grom to afford it - so sad :( But there is definitely plenty of ADV150 content planned for my channel in the near future.
I just sold my Valkyrie as I’m moving to SE Asia shortly. I could do 0-60 in about 3.5 seconds. I saw a video where the PCX did 0-60 2.4 seconds. I’m betting the ADV is similar. The mix of rough pavement and off road make this near the top of my list.
I want this. I commute 25 miles, and I'm on my feet all day, also using my hands (work in a factory). It would be nice to be able to rest my hands and feet on the way home (compared to a standard motorcycle)
I would like to see More videos on the Honda ADV150, maybe with New Lightweight DR Pulley Slider weights, and a Dr. Pulley HIT clutch, to get Maximum acceleration, and Max top speed out of this Bike.
I bought one of these the best decision I made don't care about the looks I get this thing will go anywhere I zip around town through parks And other areas I wouldn't usually go On my other bikes but people don't seem to mind because this bike is small and quiet
I was hoping this would be the first English review. I guess we’ll have to keep waiting. I’m not sure what a bayik is, hunnerd mials or any of that. Just kidding guys!
as stated, fit, finish, suspension, are top notch on this unit..whole other level or 2 or 3 above chinese 150s,which have virtually non existent forks and shocks..looks and design are home run caliber also, nice tight ride with no rattles whatsoever in motion.to me all this makes it close to being totally worth the $4299 msrp, just get on it and go..my only desire is for a little more power, kinda bland in that area.all in all a very nice scooter for around town and trails, also real handle bars instead of plastic bars on chinese scooters,a huge plus+++++++
Ok lets talk how people will customize this bike. You guys compared it to the grom and z alot. but I think it compares more to a Ruckus. The Gy6 swapped ruckus more precisely. Questions I have.... 1. what does it look like naked? 2. Is there a mount point for pegs? 3. Can you change out the rollers/sliders in the CVT to help with the acceleration? 4. How does the seat mount?/Can a solo seat be mounted?
It's nothing like a Ruckus. Far larger, far faster, easy to ride 200 miles at a time, piles of storage, way more comfortable, holds two full size adults easily. No doubt you could customize it into something cool and unique, but that's for the random fabricators. It's not a platform that the aftermarket will embrace in terms of pure cosmetic style and modification. It's far more of a functional workhorse.
If it is under 5 or 600 miles give it a little time before you decide, because after likev600 miles it acceleration is much much better and even more top end speed to
I am still mad at Honda for not even considering bringing the ADV-750 the states. More money, but the horsepower and transmission I was hoping to get. The least they could have done was 300cc.
@@mnnthbx Do you think we'll ever see it in the U.S.? And, also they make it almost impossible to import one from another country. I could buy one in the U.K. and ship it over. What happens when someone who owns one relocates from the U.K. to the U.S. and wants to bring their bike. Can they register it here?
$4299.00 turns into over 5k really quick with tax and fees. If you finance it will obviously be more expensive. Nice bike though. What sold me was the versatility. Moderate off road. The exhaust is pointing upward for that purpose and beefed up suspension. Lots of fun.
Bout to do a video breaking all the costs down. That was the hardest pill to swallow once I got in too deep! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-coJLit0OQV4.html
For Much better acceleration, Most all auto clutch Scooters, have a significant amount of Slip built into the system, they slip a Lot right from a dead stop and up to say 3500rpm, to get rid of a Lot of the waisted energy, and to have more of a direct lockup at a much lower rpm of the clutch, Buy swapping these clutch weights out you get a few benefits, Like Noticeably faster acceleration from a stop, Plus you get a Higher top speed, because these sliders put the final gear ratio higher, this when cruising, also reduces Rpm while cruising, to get better fuel economy, get some lighter weight DR. Pulley Slider weights for the the auto clutch to improve the bike's overall performance.
