I have the Honda winglets on my Africa Twin. I think they not only look better but also help a little with windblast on your shoulders. Worth a try in my opinion.
They are a US brand that have just made these on the side from their usual stuff it seems but really great. Connects behind the satnav dock and has a unique key to stop theft. Basically stops the tab from disconnecting the satnav.
Nice review , I'm one of those who found the seat to much after 90 minutes in the saddle I had to stop. The height was fine as I'm 6ft. I'm just over 15 stone...
@@ontheroadadventure Yes I think they have dropped the sizing to 17-19 with tubeless tyres which will appeal to more people but as it's brand new it's going to be expensive, will be a great used buy in a few years time though.
Hey, nice vid Ihave also the red standard at 2023, 13dkm , and put also tkc70 last mond , love the bike and tires aldo they do need more input to take turn than the oem bridgestone when iboth hem .quickchifer oem i have sints day 1 but do find him not that smood especiallie upschift 1 to 2 ! ( on every setting) wooth consider 2024 without QS ...like the idea of tubelesse tires😊...greatings from belgium...
Hi yes,on a narrow country lane, I had to squeeze between a 4+4,on my narrow faired Honda NTV650,and the hedge, the front went past, but the panniers were too, wide and I went into the hedge, hitting my left knee on a hidden obstruction, in the hedge, prob'ly a big branch or tree stump,my metal hip replacement, from a previous incident, shattered my pelvis, and the subsequent operation was worse than all the injuries put together,so,be careful with wide panniers, especially when splitting lanes,I would seriously, have a big top box,and soft rear luggage, wow awesome, being in Europe, I go to Devon/Cornwall,as many times as I can,on my Honda Fjs600,Silverwing,love it,awesome, happy riding
Sorry to hear of your injurys. If you watch our current tour "Home to Rome" You will see me and ewa are favouring different set ups on our twins, I like you have suggested have a Awesome 66L Dry bag on the pillion seat with a top box, thats more than enough storage for me
just started watching you vids and really enjoying them, keep it up ! just watching this one and see you have a zumo xt protection cover, sock, would you have a link where i could get one , thanks rich
Kriega make a saddle for the standard AT. No scaffolding (frame) required. It’s a modular system that you can then add their soft bags too. It fits behind you. Wish they would make it for the ATAS. Really don’t like the scaffolding that panniers need. Haven’t tested it myself though.
So i had a look and it does look like a really good system, however im not sure it will be compatible with the grab rails and the mount for the top box as the OS base uses a bolt thats already being used for the top box set up. Very annoying.... Theres always something eh
Just found your channel. Excellent watch 👍 How about a tubeless tyre mod? Even if it's just on the rear. My last 3 bikes have been tubes, abd I'm bored with them and roadside repair dramas. Ride safe and happy travels 👍
Funny you should say that, it cost us big on this tour we just finished and we would like to look at tubeless options now, if youve not been following the tour, you can start here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aD6AyYpkvR0.htmlsi=77Pr4qYczbwVMoLi
@@ontheroadadventure I'm playing catch up. I ended up going V strom xt with tubeless spoke option for us. Overall its a great travel bike, and I don't need extreme off road ability, just poor or unmade road. And besides, a cb500x got us around Greece and Kefalonia this year. Small roads all the way.
As for hard panniers,if they are wider than the front, and they are,do not have them,i had a terrible incident, with wide panniers, and now,i can only ride a scooter,so,soft bags, every time, all the time[i strap on a large travel bag rucksack,or holdall],easy, peasy.awesome vids, thanks
@@ontheroadadventure The panniers,on my ntv650,were so much wider, than the front,of the narrow fairing, that when the front, went between the 4/4,and the hedge, the right side panniers, glanced off the 4/4,s bumper, the bike went into the left side of the road, where there was long grass, concealing,an obstacle, my left knee collided with it=broken pelvis,so never, have the back of a m/c,wider than the front, especially for splitting lanes, seriously,be careful out there n,enjoy it
We will be doing a full video on that very soon, we have something awesome to show you for winter kit and we won’t be suggesting thousands of pounds of top branded kit, we live in the real world and have good affordable solutions. We both currently wear Oxford mondial 2.0 Textiles which we can recommend with confidence, I always replace my textiles with more Oxford but it’s excellent kit and doesn’t cost the earth, we would rather put our money in the tank and ride. When things get colder we have Oxford base layers, heated grips and heated gloves if needed. We talk a bit about our kit in this video but will do a proper one soon with lots of tips and tricks we have learnt over the years ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_8NsrjRIcV0.htmlsi=-4NawaD2xBucAizB
Hi, thanks for joining us! No power commander is needed with the baffle in. If you take it out you lose to much back pressure and standard mapping is no good
@ontheroadadventure thanks for that, wasn't wanting to be paying in the region of 1000 pound plus as mainly ride through the summer season but still wanting something decent that's going to be warm and dry without breaking the bank.
