Hey bro. Great review! Question at 4-5Krpm is doing 90 comfortable? Any obvious vibrations experienced?
@zwc888
@zwc888 2 года назад
The bike feels very decent around that pace (90kmph @ 4~5k rpm). In fact it still feels okay around 110kmph. Mirco vibrations at the bar (none felt on the pegs), likely you wouldn't feel it with gloves on kind.

I am heavily considering this 2022 400x bike to settle down with. Currently riding a Fighthawk, so the 400x seems like a natural progression. I'm still taking Class 2 license but i think owning the 400x usage fits my overall usage better. Just like to know your thoughts on this bike as a daily ride, from Home to Work (lane splitting at CTE peak hours), whether its suitable for deliveries and the maintenance. Appreciate it so much
@zwc888
@zwc888 Год назад
This CB400X is really a good bike for daily use, i.e. commuting, touring (not sport touring), light off-road etc It's not very heavy and wide, so controlling it should be fairly easy (as long the rider is 1.7ish kind of height) As for delivery, I seem many delivery rider using the 2018 and older CB400x (17inch wheel, with shorter ride height) as they vehicle. Seem doable (without side panniers) as : - not too hot (like uncomfortable) after long run - decent fuel economy - comfortable riding ergonomic - 1 full tank can go around 400km As for maintenance. Honda bikes tend to require more engine oil (4L) as compared to other Jap brands (2~3L). So during EO change, you will be expected to pay more. However, on the long run these sort of help to protect the engine a little better thus the Honda reliability (legacy). My POV is that as long the rider follows all the maintenance schedule and also replace all wear & tear when needed, unlikely the bike will require any big repairs. Hope my above sharing helps you on your decision to your next bike ;)

@@zwc888 i watched your vid countless times trying to breakdown and analyse every part of the review, and it was really helpful in making the decision. I just got the bike 2 days ago, with the Pearl Glare White colourway. thanks again!

Currently using CB190X after I just passed 2B in Jan 23. Guess I'll upgrade to this after 2A, as the 190X vibrates alot lol. 7K RPM to maintain 90kmh, even so, engine already start crying 🤣
@juancelop
@juancelop Год назад
CB190X is pretty reliable and relaxed bike for newer riders but i'd recommend you to wait to buy a Class 2 bike instead! With the 750X/CFMOTO800MT all around, a better bike in the long run if you like power and distance!

Hi im considering a super4 vs this. What would ur opinions be? Maintenance cost long distance riding?
@zwc888
@zwc888 2 года назад
Hi Erza, if maintenance cost is a key consideration, the CB400X is the way to go. Inline twin has better fuel economy, less parts to replace and lesser heat. less parts = less risk of failure

Still deciding to go for this new 2022 model or the previous gen model where theres camo decals on the tank. Do you think with the new 2022 model double disc brakes makes a whole lot of difference? i doubt so. Share your thoughts please :)
@zwc888
@zwc888 2 года назад
The twin brakes is definitely better but I don't think it is enough to call it a huge update. And the forks are more of a aesthetic update then functional (based on my test ride). If I'm in your shoe, the decision factor will be the price point then (does $X,XXX worth the new look).

Hi. Do you know about fuel consumption for delivery? Cus highway mileage very different, delivery consumption is more cus a lot of start stop traffic.
@zwc888
@zwc888 Год назад
Hi there, I don't have the exact FC figure for pure start / stop traffic but I reckon it should be 30% discounted from the regular FC tested (based on all my past experience).

Hi :). I understand the purpose of censoring during video. So in a way, hope to check what do you "believe" the top speed of this bike is? If possible, speedometer vs GPS too. I do not fully trust the speed advertised as I have seen bikes advertised 15km higher than actual, and up to 30km different compared to GPS. So hope to have hear what you "believe" the top speed it based on your experience.
@zwc888

150kmph is what i believe, but it will be a slow climb after 120kmph. Maybe -10 with pillion and touring load. * - another 10 if it's used with some mileage on it
@xia0pr0ice
@xia0pr0ice 2 месяца назад
@@zwc888thanks for sharing, appreciate it. So roughly about 130kmph with pillion/cargo and mileage. That's kind of similar to a 150cc sports already :/.
@zwc888
@zwc888 2 месяца назад
These adv bikes are more on Pickup,Torque and cargo available. If just looking at speed, we should go for zx4r, redline at 16k (power to weight 76hp to 188kg). CB400X is 47hp to 200kg, with redline 10k, all the adv are Torque biased. So cannot expect them to run fast. I think even the Africa Twin tops at 190kmph with 1100cc
@xia0pr0ice
@xia0pr0ice 2 месяца назад
@@zwc888 thanks for sharing with me, appreciate, I'm more of a casual rider, i tend to carry pillion and box for convenient, so sportsbike will probably get judge badly and not as comfortable. In terms of speed, I'm not looking for super high, maybe about stable & comfortable 130km/h +/-5km should be good enough. Previously i was riding sportsbike and that was my comfort zone, now I'm riding adventure bike, it feels too slow, despite advertised as top speed 130, it barely can hit 105 and is already going into red rpm, so hoping to match my previous bike but not going too extreme 😅

@zwc888
@zwc888 10 месяцев назад
Just my 2 cents for your considerations: If buying a brand new & keep it for some time, I will go for KTM Pros - fun, better tech/equipments & more off-road capable Cons - hard to resell, expensive to fix If I will to be from a pre-own or short term, I will go for Honda Pros - afforable repairs, longer fuel range, easier to resell Cons - slightly dull (not so fun) At the end, it's really down to what we value more.

No worries. you can find exporter contacts online (like carousell) or via a bike shop. Generally the export rate for 2b bikes is from 100~500 + COE rebate.
