Hi, I see you did remove the aribox. Which filter did you use than? Can you give me any hint/suggestion on how to make it and if I need to do something with carburetors? Thanks
Hey Piotr, amazing job. I too am building a cafe racer with a 2001's CB500S base. I just wanted to thank you for the vid because you are the only builder working with this bike who I've seen cutting the subframe, which I intended to do but was worried of how it would look. Also, your job with the tank gave an idea or two about how to make it look more classic without having to buy an expensive one. So thanks! By the way, which brake discs are you using? And did you considered the idea of adding another front disc, or do the brakes perform nicely like that?
Hey, I used the break disc which i bought with the wheels - it was a little to big but it was quite easy to make it fit. Brakes from CB500 where just enough and the situation didn't changed :-) . When you really will use your bike to race you should think about brake disk on both sides. It requires to change the front fork and change the wheel - maybe from cbf model.
