Yeah its got great, sufficient performance but also efficient fuel consumption if you want to just cruise around town. What a great balance of both capabilities, that's Honda for you.
@@chrisXerces I agree with you. Never do this. If you have any sudden unexpected issue like oil on the road you are fucked or if you have a puncture you are also fucked. But in this specific situation he was safe. Could have been different by being unlucky but this time he/she was safe.
It's okay, you don't have to go balls to the wall every time. In fact, it's better if you don't, because next time you kidney to tree, you don't have a spare left. Take it easy, your great videography attracts more people than the difference between riding at 75% versus 90% of your capacity :)
no worries it is not the speed I dislike. My balls to the walls day are long over. But it is my bad gear shifting and some bad lines which make the video not really enjoyable to watch for my own self

Schaaf ...My man Schaff, I once listened to Valentino Rossi in an interview back in his top prime days. He was asked about his seemingly perfect laps. He replied that it is RARE to have a perfect lap. He said he makes at least one mistake per lap! (Granted, his perception of a mistake probably varies from ours 😂). Yeah, you goofed it. So do I. @@mangoshake is that the same thing as like when you apply pressure to the same side of the handlebar as you’re turning? So if I’m taking a left turn I apply pressure on the left side as if I’m trying to turn the handlebars right?
Street is not a race track, so you don´t have to justify your skills to anyone, this raw video it´s more than good. The key is to have fun without endangering others.
Of course it is not. I am not complaining about my speed. I never do. But my line wasn't clean and a clean line is the most important thing on the road.

The induction noise for a stock Honda 500 is amazing! Love the LCD dash also. They have kept refining this platform to near perfection. This is why “slow” bikes are fun.
The most fun on a motorcycle i have had is on a honda crf 150f it keeps up with 250 2 stroke 4 wheelers and the like if you know what your doing. Stock only has 15 hp. But it will hit highway speeds. I love it but i needva street bike
You are so good at reading road and traffic. While watching your Alpine run on Honda Cb500 in Austria, i was looking for reckless overtaking when your vision was blocked, you never engaged in such thing. Although you are driving very fast and and shit myself watching, you really know your craft. I wish you many more future rides and may gods of road keep you safe. :) edit: and yeah that corner was pain to watch more so that driver keeping full throttle with you overtaking...
Really nice video, especially when wind is completely gone it's pure music for my ears, but I would never sacrifice quality over FPS, with 1440 is also pretty good quality, I think most of visitors are anyway watching this on smartphones :)
My mate got rid of his last year with over 70k miles on it with only a few electrical gremlins which stopped him. To be fair he never cleaned it and it was outside and never covered. Didn't get it serviced as well he just changed the oil every 6-8k miles then did brake pads and chain/sprocket whenever it needed it. Bulletproof engines, and it was definitely ragged to the redline every time he rode it.

Loved the quality of the images and sound. Scenery as well. Riding was good to watch. Except for 1 corner, yes. But I agree with your own assessment, although it wasn't your proudest corner, you kept enough safety margin. It didn't look too good, but on the other hand, nothing much happened. So instead of almost being ashamed you should be proud. Everyone messes up from time to time. It is how you deal with it. So thanks for uploading. Let it be a moment of learning for everyone. I'd say 4:05 and onward is also good to see. After overtaking the car the dude (dudette?) in front of you is obviously uncomfortable with your tempo. But it took a few messy corners before waving you past. It's a nice learning moment for everyone when riding in a group or with a buddy, don't push yourself if the rest is too quick. Don't wait a few more corners before waving them past!
Dont be so hard on yourself man you do you and dont worry about being perfect no one is. Keep up the videos man I really enjoyed it. Looking at getting this bike next year it will be my first bike they say get a 250 but I'm getting the 500 it looks manageable but I wont grow out of it in a week lol

I'm surprised the guy in front of you didn't come off... His bike got real low without moving his body and he got real close to the dirt on the side of the road a few times.
I ride the 2016 500R, so this was cool to watch. In comparison to you, I short shift my bike a lot more. I generally don't like to see the bike rev higher than 5000 RPM, so I try to always stay below that. Was cool to see those differences.
I bought a used 2017 500r from a dealer and I have to tell you guys: be careful before you decide you want a short slip on. I bought mine with a short can and its really annoying having to barely touch the gas in the morning to not wake up your neighbors. The 500r makes a lot of noise without the stock exhaust and a replacement stock muffler is really expensive.
I thought id never consider a sportbike as a daily until i sat on one of these. Not bad at all. The cbr650r is the uncomfortable one. This one is more than tolerable
Darf man Fragen wieso Sie beim runterschalten immer einen kurzen Gasstoß geben! Sry bin nicht vom Fach. Hat das auch einen bestimmten Grund oder ist besser für Motor/Kupplung weil der Vorgang weicher wird. Danke für eine Antwort und tolles Video
Nennt sich Zwischengas. Macht man um die Motordrehzahl des kleineren Getriebeganges an die Drehzahl des Hinterrades anzupassen. Hat den Vorteil, dass Gangwechsel deutlich schneller, aber auch angenehmer für Fahrer und Sozius sind. Außerdem verringert man durch Zwischengas beim runterschalten große Lastwechselreaktionen am Hinterrad. Ist besonders hilfreich wenn man sportlich in Kurven unterwegs ist. Die meisten Motorradfahrer gewöhnen sich Zwischengas relativ schnell an, obwohl man es nicht zwingend benötigt. Viele Fahrer machen es wegen des Komforts, viele aber auch nur weil's geil klingt ;)
I love the 19s in this color combo! Kinda sad we didn't get it in North America, so I had to "settle" (if you want to call it that) with the matte black. Love this bike, thanks for the video!
Thinking of buying this... just a few issues i want to know. How are the brakes, How's the suspension, what about mounting points for your phone on GPS? Can i change the sound by a new exhaust. Sounds a bit like a superchared lawn mower.
Do you recommend this bike for a beginner, I was planning on getting a Honda grom but I don't really like the look and the power it has, also subscribed too as well!!

Sehr schöne Szenerie! Video natürlich wie immer auch! Es muss ja nicht immer das Ballern auf freier Strecke sein um sich ein Bild vom Motorrad zu machen... Achja das überholen des Kollegen so bei 3:50 .... nicht sehr vorbildlich. Auch als du ihn überholst ... schade das er dich nicht hat einfach vorbeiziehen lassen. So musste er wohl stärker in die Eisen vor der Kurve.
ich hab da kein Problem gesehen. Die Kurve, die auf uns zukommt, ist relativ eng, das konnte man gut einsehen. Also ist potentieller Gegenverkehr entsprechend langsam. Problematisch würde es nur werden, wenn ein Formel 1 Auto oder vergleichbar schnelles um die Ecke kommen würde. Dann würde meine Einschätzung nicht mehr stimmen. Ist mir aber in 13 Jahren Zweirad bisher noch nie passiert ;)
@Bunnyshooter 223 Nah dude it is specifically designed to fit under the limit for learning drivers A2 with European laws.. kinda spot-on on hp for Honda to hit the new bikers market.. Those 10hp would ruin it 😉
@@Oiragol power is something very personal, I personally though I would be ok with 47hp for a long time but after 6 months I was like: Man there are so many better bigger and fun bikes out there to try that it's not actually worth it to stay with 47hp all my life, so next year when im 22 I will definitly do the A license and get something with 90-100hp to see the difference, I know 47hp is a good sweet spot for commuting in 99% of cases cause you got a ton of power for every day needs and don't consume lots of fuel, but I really want something more challenging and fun and that I can maybe one day bring on a track to race 😛

Every newb - I need a 600 super sport or more so I can keep up on group rides! Every group ride - spend half of your time annoyed by everyone braking too early and taking the wrong lines on their bigger bikes because no one has any vision or understanding of vanishing points.
I Want to buy one but not a fan of the red or black. I want the white one but it’s not available in the states yet... Hopefully it will be soon. I’ve talked to several dealerships here in a couple states they all act like it doesn’t exist. I’ve also contacted Honda to ask when the white one will be available but they say that’s info they don’t even have right now which sounds ridiculous. I’m willing to wait for the color I want though. Hopefully by the end of 2019 at least they will be here but willing to bet I’ll have to wait till 2020.

@@tomnwoo not realy, mainly because 48hp is the max power of A2 license for motorcycle in Europe. Unilimited power require next level license, the A or also called A3. That's why all motorcycle sold in Europe, under 600cc produce no more than 48hp
