In 1979, I worked at a Honda dealership and remember this new red CBX rolling off the delivery truck. Looked exactly as your beauty. I couldn't believe my eyes. I sat on it and at the time couldn't afford it. I was 20 years old. So i bought the next best thing a the time, a CB750F. Not quite as cool, but good enough. thanks for the vid. Take good care of it.

The Honda CBX is a dream for me. Nothing sounds like them they are just a beast. I started riding in 1984 on the street riding a 500 Honda Interceptor. Your bike looks amazing.I have subscribed to your channel.

Thank you mate, it is true ... it is always a pleasure to drive the CBX 1000 especially here in Europe, even really basic there is nothing that disturbs me it remains my favorite bike, thanks for subscribing. In time I do a vlog about my 50 years of motorcycle experience. Stay safe.

about using the correct gasoline! At that time, Japan had already been using "green" UNLEADED petrol for several years from the mid-1970s. We in Europe were still driving with "red" leaded petrol at that time, with the result that after having driven thousands of km (with mine CBX 25000km) the engine no longer turn idled. Checking the problem showed that almost all cylinders lost compression!!! When opening the cylinder head, the mechanics saw small cracks between the valve seats!!! It has taken Honda a lot of time to get behind this problem. I remember when I picked up my new cylinder head at Honda-Belgium in Aalst, there were already dozens of cylinder heads on the floor with the same small cracks between the valve seats.Since then I tank Unleaded 98 Oct. I haven't had any more engine problems. So if you own a CBX, ALWAYS TANK UNLEADED PETROL !!! and don't add leaded supplements... because you already hear that said for "old-timers" So again... DON'T DO supplements IN !!! 😎

@alex b Finally some good questions about the CBX 1000! First of all, I've been driving it for over forty years now, and this without too much of a worry. Second, I am not a mechanic by training, but every year I learned something new. Just like with all my next bikes. Over the years, the CBX no longer holds any secrets for me until today, it really remains a simple engine for me... even with its six cylinders and six carbs! I hear terrible stories about the expensive maintenance that I can certainly contradict! Thirdly mechanically you have to be realistic, tomorrow my CBX will break its crankshaft in two, that can always happen (it did happen with my GL 1000/1974) If you really want an engine without too much worry buy a Pan European ST -1100 or an ST-1300!!! Specifically to your question, if you want to buy a CBX 1000 in good condition... quickly count on a sum of more than 15,000 euros and then it remains an adventure to maintain it yourself, if you have moderate MECHANICS and can buy one under 7,000 euros DO quickly before it's too late!!!

Not immediately...but there will come a time. For the moment I pamper him, take weekly trips with it with all caution. Thanks for the interest. 👍
