At MMI in Phoenix AZ they have a room full of CBX's and quiet a few are in perfect original condition. I have always loved the sound of a CBX but still best sound is from the RC166
Nah mate. she is cold, and just started, hence it stalling. It is an old Honda trait to run rough when cold. I had the CB750 and a CB900 and they all had the same trait. Wait for it to warm up some more, then she levels out. But then again, looking at the owner and his age / physique, lets agree it probably needs a damn good service.
It aint rich, its lean if anything because it wasnt belching out black smoke when he revs it. You knew they got an accererator pump on the carbs, right?
At 1:21 that guy who put two-stroke "stingers" on four-stroke "cans" for the cool-look...couldn't look more stupid...doesn't know why stingers exist???
1127t Actually an expansion chamber tapers to the stinger before entering the can...there is a lot of mathematics involved in the shapes of chambers, fortunately there are computer simulations/programs that make it a lot easier, & the specific can is no doubt included in those calculations.
