Brings back memories, what a beautiful machine in outstanding condition. Had a silver '84 from brand new as my first "big" bike after my learner period on a Honda VT250F. It was an absolute rocketship compared to the 250, and the way the engine note changed from a gurgle to a howl to a scream as you progressed up the rev-range was spine tingling !!
I have two of these. Both exactly the same as this. Just not clean and shiny. I bought my first one 30 years ago and it looked this good. Both are garage bound and waiting for love. This one is absolutely gorgeous. Makes me want to fix mine. Congratulations of such a beautiful machine.
Oh my goodness! Had the silver version (black and red stripe). It was a choice between this or the VF (Vfour). A beautiful bike. Put Dunlop tyres on it and a Walker 2 into one exhaust system on it. Lost some top speed, but got there quicker. That's if you think 220km is a slow top speed for the road.
My girlfriend bought me a silver one in 1990, I was 20 yrs old at the time....best times of my life, hands down..... Used to ride my bike from Durban to Johannesburg and back again as if I was taking a trip to the local shops. Just my leather jacket, jeans and my helmet. I miss those days....
Had this exact model In the day.. Came back from a mag rally in Yorkshire To bham..on a Sunday 130 mph most of the way No speed cameras in those days..Sunday traffic was spot the car...... Memories... Ps with a hangover.
