Part 5 - I got round to moving on with rebuilding the engine on the CD200. I've never honed cylinders before, so I'm kind of working it out as I go along.

I liked the honing part of the job it's made me realise I need to do a better job on the cleaning and decreasing on my CB750E all the best Paul

did you measure the weight of pistons with the rings and piston pin

Where did you buy the new pistons? Is it std?

It was ages ago now but I think just off eBay I'm afraid. There wasn't many miles on this bike so I got standard size.

you should have gaped those rings before installing... Too small a gap and the piston will seize when it gets warm.

That was not in the manual. Now I'm worried.

@@TooManyProjects Do a you tube search - there are plenty of vids. The end gap data is supplied with the rings or pistons and will probably be in the workshop manual too. Look here for figures. www.hondatwins.net/threads/cb200-piston-rings.39480/post-310922
