I have just bought the mk2 dtech sport for my wife....... I'm in a true state of shock . I've driven and been in many many other cars I drive a civic fn2 and hobby car is mint dc5 . But im blown away by our new civic its that good . Really good performance excellent ride and refinement ,UNBELIEVABLE ECONOMY . Cant recommend it highly enough.
I bought the civic 1.6 EX model which is the 1 under the top spec model (2014) for 22k (New) that came with cruise control, auto lights+ wipers. As well as dual climate control......loads of extras, much better option In my opinion.
Dealer told me you can get 80mpg out of my purchase, he was wrong. With eco button 'on' and driven sedately the online fuel meter gives upwards of 90 mpg.
It is an awesome car, mines is black too with the cruise control ,auto sensor wipers/lights,folding mirrors,Bluetooth, love the spec, road hold is awesome to and acceleration, love the split dash to different from other cars,I just do local journeys and ime getting 54 mpg,I know I will get more if I do motorway driving, best car ever
this in the real world does around 65 mpg best real world mpg out of any car in this class also it is better then most small cars in terms of real world mpg.
I’ve got the se it’s awesome, brilliant mileage although I get better mileage with the econ button off for some reason, love the dashboard and even though it’s a diesel the acceleration is brilliant especially with the turbo,it grips the road well to especially corners, plus no road tax is an added bonus lol,
Does the ‘S’ entry level not have a leather steering wheel? I am considering getting the ‘S’ as I’d be saving a lot of money from getting the ‘SE’. Not bothered about the touch screen console as I barely use it on my current car. But if any ‘S’ doesn’t have a leather steering wheel then it’s a deal breaker for me.
Very honest review, unlike many others here on this particular car which are obviously is v-blogging against the ASA guidelines. I think it is sad some people are making money this way (getting paid by the manufacturers) to give completely unrealistic reviews and still not say that they are actually advertising the product. I bought this particular car in March this year and it does just over 50 miles urban and if you go at just over 60 miles an hour on motorway, it could do just over 60mpg. Bob Flavin you should be ashamed!
How reliable are these Honda Diesel engines, my 2006 petrol civic has now done 224,000 miles but I doubt it will last until the end of the year it’s on its last legs to be honest, my civic has sat nav and cruise control, auto sensing wipers etc, better going for ES model
Their first generation of diesels were poor enough. The diesels from this generation are very good. Especially the 1.6. The 2.2 like whats in the accords isnt great. The petrol engines they put in these are great too and for their size are quite responsive even the 1.4. Test drove one today and it felt quite lively. Cant go wrong with honda really. They do last ages. Have a 99 1.8 accord aswell, never gave trouble
Yes but be careful getting in as I've clocket my ear a couple of times. Fabulous car but check Aircon working. Great poke and very solid, will be keeping mine for 10 more years
my god... the back seats are not as big as a golf, but are as big a fiesta!?!?!?! I won't even watch the rest of the video.... where did you get those figures from?!??? couldn't be more wrong. :D but you tried.
i've been testing the consumption for 2 or 3 weeks now and best i've managed is 66mph while driving like miss daisy... when you consider i managed 68.5mph in my last car, remapped ford focus 2.0 diesel (171 bhp) i'm not that impressed to say the least.....
