For the rear transmission mount, how long was your wrench extension? Seemed like you had several to try and get in there. Do you remember your torque specs? @@hardlymovingpro
Update 2001 Honda Civic EX 1.7 AT: Torqued all 14mm/17mm bolts on the rear mount to 47ft-lbs (3 on transmission and 3 to subframe). Used three 10-13" extentions with a universal or "wobbly" adaptor/extension for the 17mm bolts (transmission bolts). This video helped me quite a bit. Reminded me that I needed to orientate the wheel to get the proper angles. Used power tools, but a breaker bar was the only thing that could get the 17mm off the transmission.
Nice looking mounts....not familiar with that brand.... Honda mounts are not cheap...and damn hard to get to and work on. Nice job ...Educational video.

Might me just me, but after using numerous different parts vendors over the years, I've settled on NAPA parts for my needs. Yes they are more expensive than others, but the quality and correct fit is worth it to me. Just saying.
NAPA, along with other retail vendors like AutoZone, will buy parts from vendors like Anchor, and rebox the part with their company name and logo. They have large repacking facilities to do this. In this way, you never know who is the manufacturer of the part. Car manufacturers do the same thing. But a lot of times the parts vendor will put their name on the part. In addition, to get large purchase discount deals, they must assume warranty liability. If a part goes bad and a warranty claim is made by the customer, they don't send the part back to the parts vendor.

What brand of aftermarket engine mounts do you recommend for a 2003 Honda Civic Lx since my car vibrates a lot and I need to buy the engine and automatic transmission mounts but the original Honda mounts are worth more than the vehicle itself and from the aftermarket I have heard that later They don't fit well and come in different sizes than the originals. Please, could you provide me with a brand of supports that is good and that is not so expensive and the link to the website where I can buy them is not too much of a hassle. Thanks
@@hardlymovingpro The problem is that I don't know the numbering of the parts and I want to buy the entire set of engine and transmission mounts and they are not complete on that page because if I buy from different brands they will not match.
Place a hydraulic jack under the oil pan with a wide flat piece of wood in between as to not damage the pan. Pump the jack until the engine moves up slightly. Remove the side motor mount bracket. Now the engine will drop down after releasing the oil pan lift tension from the hydraulic jack.
Most mechanics do not want to spend the time and effort researching for viable alternative parts that can be just as good or better than OEM. Easier and safer for the mechanic to buy from the dealer at your expense.
