Today I show you how to install a duckbill spoiler for your 10th gen Honda Civic Hatchback. Its a simple mod/upgrade for your 10th gen Honda Civic. My particular car is a 2021 Honda Civic Hatchback EX model.
The duckbill spoiler wing has great fitment and the glossy black paint looks great! No issues and the provided double sided tape feels strong. I feel confident it will hold the spoiler in place. Of course, this is all my opinion only :)

I also added the HFP top spoiler replacement and it really took it up to the next level, I also didn't want to do the type R spoiler, wanted a different look.

great install video and review. I wonder, now thats its been 9 months how its holding up? Also did bass seem to rattle it ?

Hi! Its still holding up strong, no issues or any signs of it coming off. I do mostly freeway driving too. No rattling noises that I hear from the wind but my stock sound is weak so can't say how a real bass would effect it. Hope this helps and thanks for checking out the video 👍

How long will it stay on? I go thru auto car washes cuz I'm lazy and it rains a lot.

Hi, its hard to estimate on how long it'll stay on due to so many factors. But if installed correctly, should stay on with no issues. After 3 months in cold, hot weather and a few car washes, mine doesn't feel like it'll come off any time soon, hopefully for many years. I'll eventually do a 6 month and 1 year follow up review.

The tape won't mess with the paint at all will it?

If you decide to remove the spoiler later, there will be some tape residue left on the paint that you will have to remove. Depending on how you remove it, there is a chance you might mess with the clear coat of the paint. Hope this helps.

Just got the same spoiler for my Honda Civic hatchback and it looks great . I also got the cow horn style wing mirror covers which go so well with the style of the rear spoiler 👍

How long will this spoiler last for like will it peel off or anything ?

Hi, I can't say for certain how long this one will last. If the prep is done properly and the doubled sided tape is good, my guess, it should last for years. The provided tape doesn't say 3M on it and some people rather go with a known brand like 3M. I used what came with it as a test and seems to be holding up well. I've pressure washed it, my commute is mainly freeway speeds, parked in the sun and so far so good. I'll most likely do a 6 month and 1 year update video eventually.

I can see thru my rear view but the spoiler does block show a bit. It hasn't bothered me yet and see the car fine. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍

Hi! So far so good. I've pressure washed the car myself with no issues. I do a lot of highway driving for my commute and it still feels sturdy.

@@SpendingJar it is still hanging on fine, I used the provided tape. Just don't wash your car in the next 1-2days, so it stays sturdy.

Hi and thanks for checking out my video. I would wait at least 1 day before driving at highway speeds. It was my weekend when I installed it, so for me it was more like 2 full warm days, not cold or humid. Hope this helps.

Try applying some Goo Gone then working some sort of durable string underneath the spoiler until it comes off. Then use more Goo Gone and a rag until it’s clean

Hi and thanks for the concern. Many small spoilers and side molding/trims are held by automotive double-side tape. Knock on wood but I've had no issues in the past and 🤞 this will be no different. But I'll definitely keep an eye on it. For anyone concerned about the provided tape, I would upgrade to 3M automotive tape and also use a 3M adhesion promoter along with it. Just my opinion but I hope this helps 👍

@@renztampengco5665 hi! Its suppose to help the adhesion, so anything to help I would say its good. So far my spoiler is on well with using the provided tape and no promoter. Its gone thru a few car wash as well. I'll do an update after I get a longer test time.
