Honda Cold start and full throttle 

Honda's are all 4 stroke. I wouldn't say it was hard to pull. It's more the HP of the engine that makes it harder to pull start.

Henrik Michelsson pulling the choke automatically increases the rpm, so theres no need to use the throttle while choking.

offroadryanmb nice! I remember with the 90’s Honda’s you had to adjust the rpm at start. So nowadays choke start is computer assisted as well ?

offroadryanmb I’m thinking about changing my electric start, gas-tilt assisted Honda bf15 to a hand start bf20. I got curious after seeing this video

Henrik Michelsson Pulling the choke, mechanically increased the throttle in the carburetor. There is also an accelerator pump on the carb so before starting the engine I would twist the throttle 3 or 4 times. This was a great engine, very quiet and great on fuel, however since I made this video I sold the engine and upgraded to an Evenrude etec 30 with electric start and power trim. The Honda 20 just didn't quite have the power I needed for my boat and I wanted the extra convenience's.

It was shaking mainly because the engine was cold and I opened the choke only after about 10 seconds of it running. I thought it was actually going to stall. Also, the air temperature was about 10 degrees that day and the engine had not been run in several weeks.
