You guys must have a ton of time in designing and machining. I don’t think most guys fully understand what goes into something of this scale and quality. The 500 guys are blessed to have you guys making this possible.
We do! Tons of time… but you can see how much we simplified the whole process. That is our goal… to help out the DIY guy who wants to build a bike at home and not wait months for frame mods etc. it is pricy being we use the 2021 and 22 chassis.. so it is not for everyone! But the cool part is you can go back to a 450 if you ever wanted.. (i doubt it after you feel it as a 500!). Thank you for the support! Its what keeps us motivated to keep doing stuff like this.
This type of kit needs too happen on older frames. A lot of people won’t buy a brand new bike too swap. But it’s still so amazing. All your parts kick ass
You did an excellent job designing and building your kit. Great job guys. Excellent job on your video also. I used to ride the CR 500 in my younger days best time of my life.
I'll tell ya that's really a super nice kit! Your craftsmanship is bad ass. Everyone talks about AJ Wagner but I'd rather buy this kit to be honest! I have a mint restored 85 ATC 250R. I road it for years and years after I sold my banshee I bought new in 01. My old man bought a new 250R fourtrax in 86. He bought me a 125 fourtrax and I had it for 3 yrs and then I saved up 500 bucks working. I sold the 125 & bought a Suzuki Quadracer LT250R, I was 12. I got sick when I was 40 with fibromyalgia so I can't ride anymore. That's why I restored my ATC. If I ever did by I bike just to blast around on I'd get a nice aluminum frame & buy your kit and a 500R engine! I watch all your vids, keep up the great work and videos....👍🔥💯🏁
AJ was the pioneer for the CR500AF, and while they are expensive, they are factory-level builds that adress any possible trouble areas with the original design, and are warranted to boot.
There is a company on eBay from the UK That sells a kit like this for short money but there is no airbox solution. Does yours have an airbox? The 2022 has a different shock body that does not allow an airbox without doing a remote reservoir shock from mx tech that costs $2400 or some other solution....how did you deal with that? What is the price and availability of your kit?
The kit from the UK is a weld in kit.. also does not come with radiators , or any of that but looks nice if you want to do the welding route ours is 100% bolt in no welding. If you check out the 2nd video i have some closeups of the intake i fabricated. We also currently use part of the OEM box. How ever We are working on some airbox designs currently - and will release them soon. We have invested in some 3d scanning equipment so some crazy new parts are coming. Pricing is at www.bvcoffroad.com with a full break down of parts included. We have been running a pre order( with alot of interest from all over ) and are producing a pile of these in the next couple of weeks. Soon they will be in stock ready to ship!
Incredible task well designed you work is masterful you could easy built the best Two three and four wheel in the world ! Best of luck with this kit that eventually will evolve into another masterpiece
Is the Y higher on the new crf frames for the exhaust to fit through and smaller (lower down )on the old crf frames if you get what i mean so you don’t have to chop the frame so a kit could be designed to fit the old crf frame
Do yourself a favor and ditch the Lectron You’ll thank me later Get a CR250R Airstriker and run I believe I jetted my 99 CR5 with a 70 pilot and 74 main Runs and starts like an electric motor
so far ive actually really enjoyed the lectron.. bike runs super crisp ive ran air strikers in the past on many builds (trx250r etc) they are great also
I feel you! I had issues in the past with some fasteners… but we sourced an awesome hardware supplier… no stripping issues. Also helps to use quality tools like snap on and eliminate any issues.
@@BVCOFFROAD yeah makes sense I guess I’ve always felt with average tools and average bolts good to hear hardware companies improving the Alan head cuz it can be a pain
