I have a crf250l 2013 model also. I have over 60,000 kms on it now. That's about 37,000+ miles. The only issue I have had were 3 cam chain lifter assemblies (cam chain tensioner) that completely failed. I replaced that with a Krieger manual CCT and no worries since (a few years). Regarding the fork seals, I use a Seal Mate strip to clean them if they begin to leak and that stops the leak. Dirt gets under the seal and allows oil to pass. Clean the mating surface and you're good to go again Takes just a couple minutes. I had the forks rebuilt in 2019 for the first time. Other than the CCT I have not had any issues whatsoever. Love the bike. Just keeps going and going :-)
My 2012/ 2013 ( the first year it came out ) crf250l the cam-chain tensioner broke twice I bolted on a new one ez fix . I let it sit for 3 years with gas in it under a tarp . Dumped out the old gas yesterday put in a new battery it started right up . Amazing . I have 30k miles on it and plan to put a lot more. I also had to drill out the screw in the front brake fluid Reservoir . And changed the nuts on the screws you mentioned that holds the back tire on
2017, getting ready to do my fork seals AGAIN at 8000 miles. Hoping they have an aftermarket upgraded set. Don't ever want to do it over and over at $400 each time.
fork seals went before the bike had even gone offroad. very anoyed that was not coverd under the warranty. but i do reguarley clean the cailpers chain etc etc. but its a offroad bike so i never give it a really good clean to get all dirt off
Good vid these are the areas that i alway have to keep on top of with lubrication on New Honda rally.Back brake caliper is starting to sieze a bit maybe as not fully engaging rear disk.Cannot see situation too well as pretty hidden but will try and silicon spray cylinder bore
I have a 2014 model and my fork seals blown I changed them for some eBay jobys and still leak now and again after riding the old girl hard lol but use a seal mate now seems to do the job, my adjuster bolt is seized so got to try and get that out without snapping! Have you had any trouble with the cam chain tension? As I hear that these have a habit of failing too. Awesome review by the way 👍
fork seals.......... and yes that adjuster bolt damn it i had to get a "new" swing arm. have not had a problem yet with the cam chain tensioner but yes they are knowen for going bad
Well I tried to get that poxy bolt out soaked in wd40 over a couple of days i used a little blow torch but nothing then snapped! 🤬 so then I drilled it out with a 4mm drill bit then 6mm, I damaged the thread slightly in the process but I ran a 7mm tap through then 8mm and managed to save it with blood sweat 😓 and tears.
well yes that would help but 99% of all my videos on here are done with thease k60s. even on my BMW the 80% rider 20% bike ruel is in full effect here :P
