Those lower intake bolts/nuts are very hard to get to. Best to take the head off with the intake and pre-install the intake, like you did. Do you have good luck with those ebay head gaskets?
Why did you change the head bolts? Just wondering as even Honda tell you they aren't stretch bolts and there is no reason to use new bolts. So I'm guessing there was a problem with the old ones? Done loads of these and never a problem. Hence me asking in case it was a problem I'd not come across.
I'm doing my head right now and the honda service manual does say to replace the bolts. I thought about reusing them but each one made a weird creaking noise upon removal. Hopefully the 36 dollar set from Rock Auto is good enough because Honda wanted almost 300 bucks for a set.
