@@dave1secondago bit of a silly plinker as he left the scene but perpetrated the damage DIRECTLY under a CCTV camera and in front of a lot of people. Insurance dealing with it now.
Hi From Ireland. You Are So Right About The CT 125,I Got Mine In Thailand, It Is Great In Single Track Trails.Oh Man I Love It. 5,000 stg I Know Its A Lot Of Money, Great Review.
A fun, entertaining review. The Cos-play Harley Davidson comment was hilarious and will be used. Looks like it would be hard not to have fun on a CT 125.
I've seen a lot of videos about the CT125 and this is probably the most entertaining and fun. Love to hear your comments. Quotable lines that make me laugh. Thank you!
There’s a guy in Devon who runs Dorothy’s speed shop, he has a fair few of the ct125’s which you can go on Greenlane trips with him, i done it in the summer and it was amazing!
@@EpohDerf he definitely is a top man!, I’m getting a CT110 from seven seas soon in the next month so hopefully I’ll be able to try out some of the tracks around Wiltshire!
That is insane I paid $4100 out the door in Dalton Georgia ! No crate fee delivery fee nothing or registration fee since I live in tennesse I gotta pay that myself
If you mean Tony Robinson, perhaps there is something in that... I used to listen to audio books read by him. Often fell asleep listening to him; perhaps by osmosis I absorbed some of his idiosyncrasies? If the chap with a hat and a Wiltshire accent, I only wish I had a proper one.
Great video Derf , I've had that incredible erge to hunt down the forbidden CT125 in the United Kingdom. I've found myself a one bike owner ( 1998 C90 called Nobby she's grand) Since I lost "Colin" (CB650f) due to a garage fire , I've been looking for a replacement, like to second wife with Nobby I'm slinging myself to the consuming thoughts of a Royal Family Enfield Himalayan, has one ever experienced you ? Best regards Shaun
I nearly bought a Himalayan but instead went for a DRZ400 as they are a bit better suited to the type of riding I seem to be enjoying the most at the moment. That said, I'd probably consider one another day as they have a huge following and a lot of people do a lot of interesting stuff with them.
Luckily I bought one. When the weather improves I am going to go for a ride for coffee to Llandovery in Wales. Great video made me want to visit Steve and RI. Tell Steve he can have a go on mine if he comes to the UK. I fly balloons in USA in ABQ in October most years. Regards JD
What a life. A CT125 and ballooning in USA every year. I've only been in a balloon once and it was absolutely brilliant. Serene would be the best word to describe it once the roaring of the gas stopped. Go out in the poor weather, the CT can take it...
@@MrDisplaypilot I don't remember as I was 10 and only got to go as David Bell (director for Grange Hill, Maid Marion, The Queens Nose and The Demon Headmaster) put his foot down a rabbit hole and vigorously rogered his ankle. It was just a case of being in the right plaice at the right thyme. If I am at a balloon festival, I shall ask for JD and get very drunk!
@@clarson2916I am definitely not going to go back and buy one immediately. If they write off my damaged cub I would consider putting the cash against one.
I paid $4,999 for my CT125 out the door in RI, (Had to drive to NY state to get it as there was nothing available closer) but in some places in CA, I've heard multiple stories of paying as much as $8,000 from the dealerships. Supply and Demand is a bitch!
Hi From Ireland. I Imported One From Thailand, Yes You Are Right, But I love It. Honda Should Have Sold It In Europe/UK. But I Will Always Have It Now. Thanks, Keep It Coming Cheers.
If I end up with one (or an older CT) I can only imagine the process being arduous enough to warrant it being a 'forever bike'. Hope you enjoy running yours in and then into the ground. Cheers.
Hi Mick. I Got Seven Seas Motors In Yorkshire To Import The Bike For Me. Total Cost 4995 Stg. I Know Its A lot For A 125 But Its Great At Single Track Trails, And I am Getting 134 miles To A Gallon. Seven seas motors will take care or every thing,Talk To Mark. Cheers.
As someone looking to get into biking, but living in London with no interest in doing long camping trips etc…how would you say this CT125 stands up against say a Grom (MSX) or a Suzuki VanVan. I’ll be mainly pottering around suburbs of London, might ride it into the city (but on avg 40mph motorway and typical congested inner city London roads) with the occasional trip on say a motorway to see friends who live just out of London (1hr away). I was torn between a Grom and VanVan but saw this and now completely confused 😂😂
Stirring your own gears with a clutch feels nice and the CT125 doesn't let you do that. I've never tried a grom but would love to. However, if your choices, I reckon the best for rough roads is a van van (get a 200 if you can find one). As for motorway, the CT25 will do it, perhaps even all day but that's not what it is for. If you can try all 3, that's going to be the biggest help in deciding. If you can't, get one rather than deliberating too long. The best bike is the one you're on! If you don't like it, just sell and try the next.
Good times! You could put 50/50 tires on your Super Cub and hit plenty of mystical meadows and greenways. Trail Cub has 4 more teeth on the rear sprocket compared to Super Cub. Need to bring that flute with you. Happy trails and thank you..
I may yet be able to look for a CT in the UK. If my supercub is written off (thanks Mr hit and run) then I will probably put that money towards getting one imported.
@EpohDerf I hope you are in good condition. The material stuff can be replaced. I hope the insurance company does right by you. Thank you for the heads up. A video of your destroyed Super Cub b may be interesting to many and a good chance for you to play a sad ballad on the flute. Best wishes from Irvine California.. Edward Cabello
@@heritagehillsecurity8778 we are closer than you think. I am in the Hertz car rental lot at LAX about to secure a Mustang for a trip to the desert and latterly SFO. I am not convinced the insurers will do the right thing by me but I am sure the world will keep turning so everything will be fine in the end. LA is a mad place!
So the bike you rode is a 2021 or 2022... they only come in green in 2023 in the United States. I own one... just bought it two weeks ago... out the door price... including tax, tag, title... and all the fees... $5,187. They are "finally" becoming more widely available, and thus more affordable. Cheers!
If you can get 30 or so people together then there's nothing stopping you buying a full container of these bikes from Thailand. The PDI isn't going to be very technical for someone with basic competency. It's got to be worth investigating.
Haha! Even if a self import wasn't feasible, a good Honda dealer like Lings or Clive Padgett in Batley would be able to get a container of them and a deal struck.
Honda are absolute mugs for not releasing this in the UK it's about the only brand new motorbike I would go out and buy. There is a chinese copy now it will be interesting to see if they come to the UK
They’re selling for like $4000-$4500 where I am there’s no $8000 price tag with these things as far as I can see you anyway I bought my cub not the trail version for $3300 and had 9 miles on it
I dont see the point comparing years with buying. Its brand new motor,of course its good. Maybe someone will be saving money until 2029 to buy this motorcycle.
$8000 in the US?? I thought they were selling for $3999 which I was considering but $8000 hell no. I'll go with the new 2023 Honda CB500x for less than 8.
@@EpohDerfit's true, a lot of people have been paying those crazy prices... mostly because they were just "scarce"... but that has changed, and you can buy one for $3999 plus a bun of taxes, destination, dealer, dealers brother in law, etc... real world pricing once you pay the ferry man is roughly $5K.
I know this is an older video, but great shout. Just to let you know, the mirror is easily broken (ask me how I know…) You can remove the rubber peg covers, but you have to remove the peg to do it… annoying.
