I can second that. I bought Turbo 1.6 Rapid in 2012. The car is almost at its life's end in 12th year.... Turbo is not good for engine in long run.

Yesterday I cancelled my kushaq and today was my delivery of kushaq, the dealership started a scam just before one day of delivery they were demanding extra cost and saying that sir onyx plus band hua hai and apko onyx ka extra 1lac dena padega woh bhi apko without alloys milegi car just one day before delivery and the customer support was so pathetic that even I didn't get a response from them

Elevate might get a 5 star rating because it’s using the same ACE body platform of the honda city but it is yet to be tested under strict norms like GNCAP OR BNCAP

@@InLined7000 Any comments on city traffic driving conditions? Kushaq is obviously more fun on a highway but do you feel that its drive is too start-stop in bumper to bumper traffic? I feel like Hondas and Toyotas offer just the perfect amount of crawl unlike the Europeans who forget that we don't have the Autobahn in India!

the stiffer suspension gives you more confidence on highways when you are cruising in high speeds but the softer suspension of elevate is better at low speeds and don’t forget that elevate’s suspension is so well calibrated that ride and handling is impressive at high speeds too so both of these cars have good high speed stability

i chose elevate as i have owned a honda city for 11 years and it served me well so I wanted a more bulky looking suv and the ease of naturally aspirated i-vtec engine

@@vikj2080 yes the japanese will offer you good low end punch and peppiness whereas the german cars will give you good mid range acceleration

I don't know about Kushaq, but I have spent a good amount of time in Elevate to say that interior is not that great. The power window panels looks like it's from an entry level car. Door handles are from Amaze, many exposed screws, rough plastic edges, not enough USB ports, basic AC vents and park brakes (Even Honda City and Amaze have more premium ones for less money) and many other cost cuttings. I would accept this quality in Amaze, but for 18.39L, It should have been better. Wasted oppurtunity.

If they had not done cost cutting they had to give it for 50 k more than City and that would not have got so many sales as what they see currently getting... Even after cost cutting it is still better than most cars in this segment.. And if they had not got such sales they would be going out of India

A tall car having significantly higher ground clearance than the Koreans and the Germans, and yet making it so good to drive, corner as well as ride. That is the brilliance of Hinda Engineering. If they get a give star rating, then the Elevare with be the best car to buy in this segment even with the ivtec engine anyway. I like the Kushaq and the Taigun a lot....but if Hinda gets a similar safety rating....then it will be Elevate any day over these.

first of all, its a torque converter gearbox not a dsg and secondly i had to bring some content with the available variants and transmissions

@@InLined7000Good efforts, keep it up but. You get the point right ? One would watch this to compare kushaq and Elevate . But nothing conclusive came out of driving since both drive trains are different.

@@yoghurt5023 the engines are comparable as 1.0L tsi give neck to neck competition to 1.5L NA and they fall in the same price bracket but i agree that the transmissions are not.

I think it's not easy to get cars in the right transmission at the same time from dealerships unless you are a big RU-vidr... So unless you have friends with the cars it's not easy for common people like us do a perfect comparison... I have personally felt that the CVT is very noisy as compared to manual.. and the bonnet insulation is less compared to City and more cost cutting... Kushaq while has a better build, paint quality and driving dynamics it's fuel efficiency is terrible and rear seats not at comfortable for 5 whereas Elevate is slightly better and of course the reliability and rattling gives Elevate the advantage but only to some extent so no car is perfect today and we have to compromise on something

@@mrkskk thats because nobody will buy a 1.5 NA engine option at 20 or 22 lakhs even with all bells and whistles. Honda has discontinued its Turbo petrol engine and Diesel engine and NA engine has sense only upto a certain price point. Only hybrid powertrain is there in City, which they are not going to launch as it will create a big gaping hole in between in terms of pricing. From 17-22/23 lakhs no varients.

i own the honda, but i didn’t want to create a bias opinion because i’ve been impressed with the performance of TSI engines, but the ivtec will always be a wiser choice as it’s more tractable and reliable

it’s just that i felt more enthusiastic when i got my hands on the german powertrain and felt more comfortable when i got hands on the japanese motor.
