Here's a Video of the Honda FG110 tiller with the dethatcher attachment pulling out all the dead thatch from a fungus event this 2021 summer. A simple performance demonstration that can be expected out of this little machine.
It's amazing how much of that sh*t you don't even really see that's under there. Wow! Would have loved to have seen a before and after of what your lawn looked like. I have the Earthquake and I'm trying to decide if the attachment is worth it. Great video. Thanks.
Hind sight is always 20/20. Next time. The before and after is basically the same, it did pull out some unsightly dead spots but what it did do is remove the dead material to open the surface for new growth.
Damn, I want one of those. Healthy lawns are no accident and they're also not natural. If a healthy lawn was natural, it wouldn't rquire so much hard work to maintain, only watering. Nature wants to grow weeds instead of grass, so you're constantly fighting against nature's instincts and every measure needs to be addressed e.g. fertilizer, lime (where applicable), weed control, insect control and watering. And if any one of these is neglected, it will never be successful. My understanding is that in Heaven, the grass is PERFECT as is everything else there. It's worth getting there. You shouldn’t cut the grass first on the lowest setting to get most of the thatch out and then put the lawn dethatcher on to the grass and then put the lawn mower on yet again and then aerator and then feed it
