Honda GL1500 Goldwing Windshield Installation 

Watched this morning and then changed out the huge F4? that came on my used Goldwing for the same SlipStream as you did. I'm tall but may cut it down by an inch so I can really look over the plastic. Good to see the change in a video.

I would paint the buttom part with black paint or plasti-dip product as in the OEM one. Otherwise you will always have dust collected in that area which is hard to clean.

I was just watching this again I thought about packing materials. I bet they had those older boxes from way before and they are using them up instead of wasting all that cardboard. So it says present on the box because they thought they would use them up before the year 2000 not really knowing if the GL1500 would go past that year. Doesn't matter at all but still popped into my head. Ha!

Man, You just keep coming up with everything on my mind LOL. this vids probably the newest that I have watched of yours. You would probably throw my windshield straight in the trash and go without one if you think yours was bad. LOL mines got a crack in one side by the left mirror, so hazed its crazy but that is not the worst part, i think what happened is the guy I got it from put a for sale sign on the windshield at some point and when whoever removed it just tore it off. there is a big ( like 5" x 12" ) place right in the middle that the coating part has ripped away in strips. it is AWFUL. also no vent at all. I measured it last night without taking it off the bike and it looks like it;s a 27" from top to bottom or there abouts. I just forked out all I had for tires though, no way i will be able to get one anytime soon, I was hoping to be able to super glue that crack and polish the front up a bit. it;s so hazed that it lights up when I ride off into the sunset. Ha Ha! also seems like when I am sitting straight up the wind hit's me over the top right in the pupils. so I gotta scrunch down a bit. i have seen a fewout there, that one you got there looks pretty awesome, a real deal with the vent hole + the vent with it! I have been seeing them for way more with a vent hole and zero vent comes with it. Like 250 to over 300 and you still have to buy a vent. Good Grief! it;s like they think old school goldwing riders have extra dough or something. The 1800's windshields seem much cheaper. i am going to try that wD40 trick you were talking about in that other video yesterday ( 2 years for you LOL) on my cruise control, i pushed that in when I first got it and it took me forever to get it to come back out so I have just never pushed it in again. I don't really even know how it works. Have you ever installed one of those extra Pivot gear shift kits on your Bike? i was thinking of trying. I have markland floor boards and heel toe shifter ( I thought i would hate it but I got used to it after about a week) also , switching back to the oem seems pretty expensive. way more than I thought it wold be. seems like my shifter is hanging up a bit when I want to go back into Neutral. The oil seals not leaking yet but I think it wil soon from my inspection. i have had a couple of other people say they liek that kit but none of them have heel toe linkage so i don't know.

What you think is non-interesting. Are what new riders on these bikes want to see.

my 1992 , doesn't have that rubber matt. that lays before the windshield screw down .

I would have cleaned areas better and dressed with Glare Blast on the plastics and rubber before reassembling…

Is the chrome peice under your windshield a factory part for a certain year 1500 or aftermarket. My 88 has one that fits like garbage

that's what I need, new set of them bucket screws, that hold down the windshield. any idea where to find them. great video. thanks
