Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower ru-vid.comUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
Thanks for watching. 3 months into it, used it about once every 2 weeks. Noticed the drive axel is covered in rust. Don't think it's a big issue, but wanted to get that out there. I'd add a picture, but appears can't do that in youtube comments.
Early in the video you pointed to the muffler and called it an air filter. Later you were on the other side of the mower and correctly identified the air cleaner. Just pointing that out for someone about to check the air filter.
Got this model from Home Depot yesterday. Unboxing was easy but the mulching bag assembly was pretty tough but I got it setup in less than 15 minutes. Hoping for a good product out of it in coming months, can’t use it before late April (Michigan 🙄) 😊
Just picked it up from Lowes a few weeks ago. I used it for a couple grass-cutting rounds. It worked well most of the time until just a few days ago when I noticed rust on the drive axel. I might have to return it and get my money back. If you have any ideas on how o can get rid of the rust, please reply. They said we get 6 months to return it and I only got a few days until I hit that so I am going to head to Lowes in a few days unless you have an idea on how to get rid of the rust on the drive axel. Thank you, Sean! Also, I mow 10 times a day.
Mr. Ali, You can use a rust spray and clean it off. But it will come back. Probably won't rust enough to make it fail , at least from what I can tell from mine.
Just ran over a metal pipe, and the it caused the airfilter to "blow off" when the blades immediately stopped (like a monstrous backfire). Now the motor runs like it's on overdrive - almost like it has no governer and it sucks gas like no tomorrow. The governer and carb seemed to check out - must be something in the engine. Guess i'm going to buy another one. Funny thing is that Lowes had it for different prices depending on the store I go to in northern Va. Ranges from $469 - $569.
@@laurengallagher9826 saw $469 at Home Depot last week. Although some folks are able to use military discounts and get it for about $440-ish after tax.
It's a good lawn mower, and dependable. Good for large lawns because it pulls better and faster. Although consider that if you are going to mulch a lot, you have to maintain both cutting blades. If the lawn is tall, past 5 inches you will have to keep lifting it up to let the cut grass out of the bottom, cause it will bog down. I think most people buy cheap snapper mowers, but really this wasn't much more.
No, there should not be any clicking noise. You should not hear anything clicking from the axel. I guess maybe you can try tilting each side and see which wheel makes noise when spinning (one by one).
Sean, when cutting yard, mower sounded like it was coming apart! Blades had stuffed the plastic to metal overlay, under mulch control lever. Plastic bulged out allowing blades to strike plastic. This could have been avoided if honda reversed the overlay, plastic outside the metal deck. Also worst design ever where top of bag latches on grass stuffed plastic latch rail on the top of mower deck. Metal deck is also corroding under metal deck in first 8 months of ownership. I feel that in 10 years this mower will follow my old cheaper "chonda" troy bilt...
Interesting to hear. I haven't had problems with the blade, but do acknowledge that there is corrosion forming on a bar towards the rear. I will check the entire bottom for more corrosion and reply.
When I waited untill the grass grew about 2 inches (or more) over the level I wamted, it would thatch. I then started to cut more frequently,, sometimes 2 times a week, and it worked a lot better. I am still evaluating how well it works over a complete season. Although this does require more work, and I periodically (once a month) will bag it.
Just take off the oil cap and tilt the mower (in my case will be to tilt right) until oil starts falling out. It is not like a car which has a separate drain plug/hole. Have a drain pan ready to catch the oil. This Honda is nice because it's on the opposite side of the gas tank. When enough has come out, just refill.
I bought the Lows $279 Craftsman with the Briggs and Stratton motor and what a huge POS. ALWAYS dies like 20 times while mowing.I've had it just about 1 year. Garbage. Just ordered this one. Waiting on delivery.
wow, you must be a guy that never had honda before. its amazing isn't it? toro, yardmachine, craftsman, murray will mess you up.ITS HONDA DUDE ITS STANDARD.
Correct. My first Honda, cause always lived on a small home. Definitely worth paying the extra money (which wasn't that much more) for this one, and all the features you get.
