They pulled these off the shelves 3 months ago, something about injuries when pulling at startup . Bought mine 2 months before that and it works great! Got it from Home Depot but it came from Honda as I ordered it online and was delivered by truck to my home! So far I've had no problems. Also after this month 9/23 Honda will no longer make lawnmowers for US market. It's because of new state rules in some states like California that don't want gas mowers.
I had the same problem, just bought it A few days ago at Home Depot paid $620. With tax, I starting to used it today and smoke come out don’t know what it is then all certain the engine shut off maybe I had it set one inches, then I restarted it but the cable is too tight to pulled, I waited for 5 minutes then reset the clip to 2 inches then it started again it cuts grass pretty good but when I cut 6 inches grass it stopped the engine and I have it set to mulch, do you have any idea what’s issues are, Is it better to use the bag or the mulch, thank you in the advance.
I think I got hussled I payed a lady 350 for a used one she said it was a year old and in mint condition, it's in mint condition but is from late 19 0r early 2020 I didn't know that these were around 400 when they debuted I See that these are 550 now but I think I'm good. The machine is mint. $25 Honda tune up kit and I'll be cutting Friday afternoon.👍
I just paid $265 for a used HRN216VKAA. It was used for 1 season apparently, but a bit of wear and tear. It did have engine surge that I was able to address (alot of youtube videos on it). How did you find out when the unit was manufactured?
@@JMang101 I think it was on the original owners manual that I I asked the guy I bought it from for but this thing was mint. On my third or fourth mow I ran over a golf ball cut it up and shot out like a bullet but now I have a slight vibration that leaves your hands tingling after a 45 min cut I think I might put it up for sale at 450 and see if I can get 400 or 375 for it
@@SANCHEZFLA863 is the vibration the only reason you want to sell it? Likely due to blade being bent when chopping the gold ball. Cost 30 bucks to replace.
@@JMang101 I don't think it's the blade but I also had bad cut quality the blades were I perfect condition when I got it after the first cut I noticed poor cut quality so sharpened the blades that made it decent but not what I would expect from A brand so high praised for their mowers.
Thank you for the close up shots of the mower. I was concerned if mine had imperfections under the green mulch handle and it appears that's how they all come from the factory.
Its amazing how everyone wants to reject ELECTRIC & BATTERY cars and lawn equipment as our future! EVERY appliance in your home is electric and you LOVE THEM! One day I hope you wake up in a combustion engine nightmare where EVERYTHING you own has an internal combustion engine 🙂 You will have 2 stroke engines in your clippers, blender, HVAC air conditioning system, ceiling fans...etc. Imagine adding oil and gas to your blender or shavers and setting the choke then pulling a cord to crank them up🤣😀😅 YOU'LL be begging to have electric & battery operated devices back🙂 The ENTIRE •world• is going battery & electric.....Im pretty sure BIDEN doesnt rule the world!🙂 I remember in 2005 when flat screen TV's were in their infancy. There were people online like you arguing against losing their economical, reliable, heavy, CRT medium definition TV's with the protruding ass! NOW 15-20 years later EVERYONE has flat screen TV's....and they LOVE THEM!! Battery technology for cars & MOWERS is in its INFANCY!! In 10-15 years we will wonder how we ever survived and tolerated gas engines! P.S. the TESLA Plaid electric family sedan is the fastest production car on the planet....faster than ➖ANY➖ American combustion engine sports car.. VETTE, CAMARO, MUSTANG, VIPER... and faster than 95% of all exotic super cars including Ferrari's, Porche's...etc Combustion engines have had over 100 YEARS of development WORLDWIDE and we're still dealing with leaking gaskets, smoke, thrown rods, oil stains everywhere and loud noises. Given the same time of 100 years ELECTRIC ENGINES will powering all of our military equipment! Yea it was a loong rant....SO WHAT? 🤣
