I have looked for a project like yours but have yet to find one. My 1966 305 Superhawk was 8 years old when I bought it and it was my first touring bike. I rode it for thousands of miles and it never let me down. It's 56 years later and I"m still riding and still remembering how much fun I had riding that Honda.
I am 75, my first motorcycle was a 50cc Tohatsu, traded in all my silver dollars, for regular dollars to buy it, 125 dollars. Yeah, loved it, was really quick, but vapor locked at about 50 mph. Yeah, would have been better off keeping my New Orleans and Carson City silver dollars. But, as a high school teen I wanted more, so I got a 305 Honda Super Hawk, red and silver. Crazy kid I topped it out wearing shorts and a unbuttoned shirt at 105, mph Crazy Kid, hit a bee, and it buried in my then 6 pack (took years to dissolve). Was stolen, broke my heart, I was like 16, but got it back, some damage, but fixed it. Thanks for the memories, I adjusted the valves, and put in a new clutch pack. Loved that bike, finally had to sell it for college, oh well.
Found your video searching for CB77 rebuilds. Getting mine back together now. Do you recommend any gasket sealant on the oil pump and clutch side cover or just the gaskets by themselves is good? Thanks.
