I was lucky enough to have had one of these about 12 years ago in high school. The thing was ridiculous & the first bike i ever owned. No way in hell i would ever buy my kid a bike like that lol but damn was it fun!
Hey Yaya! Good call! I would even correct your comment a little bit "No needs big engine for fas..cination!". Speed and power is not everything (however this is really amazing for this small engine). As a proud owner of one of only a handful NSR 250s (1991 MC21) here in Germany I would say who only looks into speed and power didn't understand in fact what makes this small bike so fascinating! The sound, the smell, the handling (60HP @ only 260 pounds :-)...incomparable! And not to forget the rarity! Wherever I come along with my bike they look at me as I'm from Mars :-)
Hi Abdul, as far as I know the 45 HP limitation was only for the Japanese market to maintain some license regulations. The nominal power, without reduction, has, as far as I know, always been 60 HP. Mine was first registered in Germany with 60HP and temporaily even reduced to 27HP (motorbike beginner's license). But actually it's again back to 60HP.
@@Kraftei if i recall other than the late, late model NSR the restriction is via one wire to the ECU also, de-restricting a JDM bike to full power is pretty trivial
I am small guy 125 lbs 5 7. This is my dream bike but they never imported to usa. 2 stroke screamer light and agile. That is a true story bike. Would love to get 250 sport bike and drop 500cc single cylinder dirt bike 2 stroke in it. Screw smog live in state with no inspection lol
Mehr als genug ;) Eingetragen sind 215km/h. Für´s Video konnte ich nichtmal auf dem Tank liegen und saß aufrecht. More than enough;) Entered are 215 km / h. For the video I could not even lie on the tank and sat upright.
Just like e.g. the Suzuki RGV 250 the NSR 250 as well has a variable exhaust steering system (but not as ciritical as the RGVs system), which results in a "acceptable" tourque even at lower RPM. Not as aggressive from the bottom as a 4T but much better than the early 2T who have almost been dead below 7000 RPM. And above 7000 I don't have to say, that there, the band begins to play :-)
@@raiser8519 at wheel??? Waow excellent! With original exhaust system it is really good. Have a good time. I had a bit more but with 350 rdlc and special exhaust and slight carburator adaptation to these...
No tuvo ninguna pérdida de fuerza, sencillamente en esa zona no se puede correr, y paso de 1ra a 2da marcha. Por ello cuando agarró la recta recién aceleró a fondo estando en 2da marcha.
