Doggorunning, thank you for your honest and "oh-so-true" review of the 2012 Honda Pilot navigation system. I couldn't agree more with you regarding the complexity of use. Personally, too many options/settings to dink around with. I will stick with my Garmin Nuvi 2555LMT with a 4.3" screen. The Nuvi is much faster, overall layout of pertinent icons are positioned perfectly, and ease of use far outweigh messing around with Honda's GPS. What I HATE are Honda's verbal directions which do NOT give any advance warning of exits, lane changes, etc., until you're right on top of the turn/exit or you've already driven past your turn/exit. My Nuvi fits right into the Honda Navigation panel. My eyes don't have to dart all over to find the specifics I'm looking for. I love my Honda Pilot Touring, however, we're not all rocket scientists and I, like you, do not have time to find, access, choose, program, set and save every individual option. Brain Overload!
Thanks for the posting. Great insite on the GPS. Visuals look a little dated still, but in the end, it does the job, and some. In the end, I'm going to do with the EX-L. Up here in canada, it's a $5,700+ jump between the EX-L and Touring. Key upgrades being the Navi, dvd system and parking sensors, that extra cash can easily pay for a top of the line gps unit and a tablet for entertainment. Anyway, thanks again for the other postings. I feel great about my decision. btw., you've been subscribed!
I make money doing this, a video takes about 1 hour of my time to make and produces revenue every month, We live in a great country for those willing to work for it
No car system seems reliable so I would never review a GPS, my Ford system sometime surprises me and shows even weather, Honda does strange things also; serve based stuff yuck! What makes this Honda great and my Ford Focus is I have hard buttons for everything. The screen is just to look pretty; hard buttons are great and preferred by most .
@@Baasicstuff I was thinking of getting an android-based touch-screen system on Amazon and retro-fitting my 2016 Tucson. That one has google maps (same as phone but larger screen)
Is it? Thats cool, when I was over seas, the luxury brands are really not a thing and or produced. Their Honda Accord in Korea and Japan is like our Acura here in the USA. They trim them out differently and have some other options that Americans would not find useful
I guess for instance, sometime I look for a specific place here in phoenix and it shows 3 of the same in other states. I noticed your screen showed Virginia.
lol.."i dont have time to mess with this navi...i work 15 hours a day"....yet u have time to make a 15 min video...edit it...and post it to your youtube channel...
