Okay, "different strokes" an' all that, but -- I hate fake relicing on anything, bikes or guitars or anything else. Apart from that: loved this bike! Workin' on getting a 250 Rebel up and functioning, m'self; second one I've owned. Great little bike, absolutely perfect for getting around town (or reasonably short distances) in style.
Nice work, the engine is so beautiful! But why did you keep the rear shock absorbers while there is springs under the saddle? Or vice versa. It makes your bike too high for a bobber.
There is no way that seat springs will ever do the work of rear shocks! Have you ever ridden a hard tail? Many have that same stye seat and it's brutal on your back to ride. My only hard tailed bike last 1 year in my garage. It looked cool, but sucked to ride.
@@GaragebandandBeyond haha I agree 😂 I did 550km on my hd hard tail, my ass hated me. I said that because I think we don't ride bobbers for confort. Only for lightness and style \,,/
TheDraindeimo most of the parts to concert came from Blue Collar Bobbers including the handlebars. You can check their website for their prices. I don’t add it up when I am doing a project like this.
These bikes are $1,500 all day long on FB. We just bought one identical to this one (before mods) for my nephew. We had a half dozen to chose from. All for the same price from a 1988 to a 2006? I don't know about the exact years but they made them for decades and oddly enough they are all worth the same. Seems like a modest goal.
