There’s something to be said about the older videos where there was no filter, no dummies calling cops, just a buncha regular dudes doing regular dude things. The channel has progressed since then and there’s nothing wrong or unnatural about that, it just makes for more refined polished content. The old stuff has a patina if you know what I mean lol.
Yesterday was my 18 birthday so my dad surprised me with a brand new can am crazy turbo r and took me out to glamis I never liked side bye sides if it wasn’t for sxsblog I just wanna thank you guys I had a great time playing with my new toy!!

Looks like lenardo got agitated about the axle but the way I see it the talon was hopping way more in the front end then the xx so it showed a weak point in the xx and strong point in the talon just my two pennies.
@@BadoreksDailys I understand but it's clear the talon was getting better traction and was causing the hopping and in my experience when that starts happening shit grenades and the talon didn't break so one up for talon

Things are bound to happen when the Ph.D's get together out at the SXSBlog Battlefield Center for Extreme Performance Testing and General Mayhem (Field Test Division). As you guys were evaluating the results of the tug o machines I pictured the three of you out there in sparking clean lab coats, button down shirts and ties, with clipboards and pens, interviewing the drivers, covered in mud, next to the now unrecognizable machines. I laughed a bit. Spring is sprung boys. It only gets better from here.
Man you guys are putting them thru the ringer .Theres only one way to test their weaknesses and you found them that’s for sure . It look like the Talon doesn’t want to track straight when it hits water and the XX has a weak link in the front end somewhere.i also thought I heard some chatter from the Honda in the tug of war. That talon rev limiter though! cant wait to hear more of those with a exhaust on it. Makes us want one to try it out in the rock crawling/climbing world and see how it lasts.
You guys seem like just like my group of friends, busting each others balls and having a good time. Friendship like that can't be bought, so make sure you really cherish it. It really makes me miss my dual sport and my riding buddies right now.
@Hayden Royer except it doesn't shift half as fast as a cvt. upshifts too soon in slick conditions and bogs the moter. look its not better everyone has tested them now. the talon r is litterally the slowest 1000 cc sport sxs ever made. to argue that its competitive is one thing. to argue that its its superior is another. just like cvts arent good for cars dual clutch is not great for sxs. yeah it probly wont break right away but its not gonna kick up any skirts either. i dont really like the xx but the talon made it look like a beast. the talon was struggling to spin the tires mostly because of that goofy break applied limited slip dif. which also has no business being an a sxs. like drag racing with a parachute. just what i want when im trying to get traction to loose power. not . it didnt break because it didn't have a locked front diff. honda has made something that will not break itself but will not over impress either. like usual
With all the other equipment out there a hot water pressure washer would be pretty handy. Hotsy and Landa make good units bud. My Hotsy 550 plugs into a 20A outlet and melts grease, bug guts and mud away quickly.

The XX looked like it handled and rode better around the track. Some are reporting the Talon in auto/no sport, shifts exactly like the pioneer and is doggy. Also reports on the I-4wd, they say it fights itself in the mud & powder and the DCT in auto is constantly hunting gears. At this point, if I had to pick between the 2, it would be the XX atm. Love the vids, guys! Awesome to have found this channel. It's great to start from the beginning of your videos and watch the progression of you guys and your machines over the years. Have you ever considered creating an integrated account? I love these vids, but sometimes wish we could pick Doug's brain in the garage with common fixes, or more detail regarding the "shop work". Not that you dont have enough hours in the day already or anything...haha. Anyways, I degress, if yall ever come down to the Charlotte area (Carolina Adventure World), I'll get the first round of drinks.
@@SXSBlog Kind of like vertical integration, a complimenting account. I dont know if I should name anyone here, but there is a popular "youtuber" (think ____ Ranch, better yet, "RemolitionDanch") that started off a channel with shooting/guns, then as it got more popular he created a separate channel for the projects around his property, then another for his actual job(all currently doing really well.) All of them also share similar channel names. Im pretty sure that equates to 3 revenue streams (unsure of youtube's policies, etc...), instead of one...although its additional shooting, editing, etc... All I was suggesting is that it would could be quite easy to get your audience to buy into an additional channel focused on other niches or segments. I could be out of line here, but just wanted to throw out the suggestion. Feel free to delete, or ask me to email you if that is more preferred.

the talon was struggling. the cat was using all the power trying to pull up hill. it was trying to hook so hard it bent the tierod like an old 1 ton with mudders. while tierods in front are better for hits there weeker for traction. the talon was struggling mostly because the brakes were being applied by the computer probly.
@@NewTrip_NewAdventure that was I, but I was mistaken, initially thought it was clutch smell. But upon further investigation, it was the breaks up front from the i4wd system trying to get grip.
Damn that axle blow with vengeance. It did not like what you were doing to it. I love the other side” I can smell the clutch”. Didn’t even have an oil change yet!!
You guys should to set up a dedicated 2-wide track to do some races on. Set up some cones, maybe another dirt ramp or two, etc. Make a short circuit and race your machines. Maybe you can do what you guys do with the gauntlet and have a leader board with all the lap times as well.
@@SXSBlog Definetly. Would make for some great content too. Should also be a good way to test and compare all the units equally to do some reviews. Keep up the abuse on the equipment. I definitely know that it will handle anything I throw at it if it can handle you guys and your videos. That's some of the best information I can find anywhere's in the market. And as dealers they want to promote just their stuff and you guys cover the board so don't stop what you're doing.
I realize the tough to stretch one afternoon of stuff into three videos but we really wanted to maintain focus on the talon, and then the XX, and then comparing them in some fun ways.

Was not painful at all. was A very suspenseful episode because we all knew the xx would break hell me and some friends place bets on how long it would take. I lost cause my bet was for 5 min into the vid.
