@@VW-MK6R i starting on a s1000rr 2012 ive already paid for it i dont even have license im sure i can handel it cc doesnt mean its harder to drive its more fun i think
It's freakn awesome! I'd fight five guys and their parents for that!! How fast..how many gears..and where do you live?😉😂😂 I'm totally joken" not about the gears and speed though!😂
Class ,I just bought one, Its on my work bench at the moment, every time I walk passed it I cant help giving it the side eye. {what you all about} now I know , great video. great bike.
I wish these motorcycle companies would realize they can never go to far when it comes to big HP. You build it we will by it and ride it like we stole it. #morepower #neverenough
Bad ass swap! Who did the pipe for it? Thing must be a torque monster. Need to micro balance the crank and fill the handle bars with slicone..i bet it puts your hands to sleep quick.
After two minutes, I bet he can’t feel his hands! I was writing this when all of a sudden he was shaking his hands. A CR 500 is brutal in the same way.
You're absolutely right! I'm in the middle of truing and balancing the front wheel to see if I get any vibrations off. It feels like the front wheel may be the source for the vibrations in high speeds. I already checked the balance and it was off by 50-55 g.
Antti Harri , I don’t think you will be able to eliminate the vibration you’re feeling and I don’t think it’s the front wheel. You have a 700 cc single cylinder two-stoke with a lot of power. If the engine had a counter balance, it would not vibrate so much. The RU-vid channel “Stunt Freaks” (Finland) were going to build a super-Moto with the same engine. But when they had a chance to ride a bike with that same engine, they thought twice and decided not to build it if the couldn’t hang on to it. I bet once you got that engine to a rpm where the torque started to hit, I’m guessing it was kinda fun?
I have a CR and it doesnt vibrate so much as buzz. My YZ490 vibrated. Like a paint mixer. I have since had the crank rebuilt and balanced within a gram of its life and nownit doesnt vibrate at all. Its smoother than my brother's 250. When I rebuild the Honda, its definitely getting its crank balanced as well.
Hi! It's an 500 cm3 exhaust made for Honda I think, so it's not optimal and it came with the bike. If you want to get a tailored exhaust for 700, you should contact Kivisaari Matias.
Bike sounds amazing, but it will Bog down and Stall out when Lugging it and the trying to lay on the throttle Because of the flywheels being too light Even my 450 KTM 4T does that .... overkill for dirt but still nice to have in the garage
Ei voi ku oon ootellu suuttimia jenkeistä 2 kk.. pitäis jarrut vaihtaa kun nuo Hondan on niin köpöset ja takaiskari korottaa. Cannot make new videos because I've been waiting new jets from US for 2 months now.. need to replace brakes too and raise rear end.
seems like a good 450 would be a better alternative "IMO" I had a yz490 and it wasn't fun at all to ride for more that a few minutes due to vibration. I cannot even imagine how much this thing vibrates
It doesn't vibrate nearly as much anymore after I trued rims and balanced the wheels. I'm hoping to upload a new video soon but currently I'm waiting for the "tickler" (floods the carb before starting) that flew off when I was testing the wheels. Depending on how you want to ride smaller engine might still be more fun. This isn't for narrow paths in thick woods.
How hard was it to fabricate new motor mounts or to swap the motor to CRF frame? ATK no longer makes the Intimidator 700, and trying to get a Maico 700 to the states is very expensive, around $16,000 usd 😳
Woah that's crazy expensive. I paid for the whole bike about a third. The swap was done by the previous owner. From what I recall he said the rear suspension top mount had to be aluminium welded on the left side to fit the air intake boot. The rear tyre is from a KTM because the kickstarter is on the left. I think he had some trouble fitting the radiators and the exhaust expansion chamber is made by HGS. Not sure where the rear brake is from, but it sucks. The master cylinder spilled all the fluid out through the top cap of the cylinder. And the engine vibrates like hell. Other than that, it's really interesting to drive. :D oh and it pretty thirsty for fuel. I heard there is larger gas tank available for CR, might get that some day. First I'll get the original seat which is softer and better with the vibration.
Thanks for the reply! Very nice bike. How would you compare the power to let’s say a CR500? Yes the Maico is very expensive and the guy only does them by order only. But awesome build you have👍
The chain gear ratio is long and it still wheelies with just throttle. It's too powerful for narrow hiking paths and such and also the clutch is bit finicky. Dirt roads are quite fun though. The previous owner built it for ice tracks (ice speedway?), but I dunno how it would perform on ice. Thanks. :) Are you planning to get 500 or 700 yourself?
Id like to build one as well, but with a engine that has a balanced crank! It seems fairly well sorted out, it just needs some fine tuning from the looks of it.
This thing looks absolutely insane! What horse power are you thinking it has? High compression seems like. Stubborn to start. Unbelievable bike! So jealous! 👊👊😉
what is the point of this engine if you cant twist the throttle, there is no way u can put that much power to the ground. It would be good in some sand dunes put in woods its just over kill. I didnt hear this bike go in the high rpms not even once :(
I prefer left-hand kick. These bikes are kind of tall and awkward, so I'd rather not have the thing between my legs while I'm trying to kick it; I stand next to the bike. I'm glad my 440 Maico isn't right-hand! This guy still sits on the bike to start it, which tells me he's either left-handed, or he hasn't been around left-kick bikes for very long.
Hi! Perfectly!! 1)Where did you got resonator? 2) did you use adaptor kit for frame? 3) what about fuel consumption? Same like cr500? 4) can you compare by power (your feelings) with cr500?
There was a video by 999lazer who compared this to the cr500. Obviously this has more torque down low. It's overkill for any motocross, the spinning forces of the engine is more noticable.
NOTE: To all folks either buying or building up a bike with a 700cc 2 stroke motor......Beware these engines in a bike that a rider hits big jumps, in most cases either sends bike & rider straight into the sun to perish or into outer space where they never return. Also these engines are notorious for causing bikes riding on flat surfaces in a straight line to reach take off speeds and when they lift off they soar high up into the sky! Followed by a crash landing so powerful & with that much energy & force, the bike and the rider are instantly vaporized! I have witnessed this too many times, not so much as a dust particle remains. Don't let this stop you from experiencing the 700 nor the ownership of one that will crown you the 'Grand Poobah' of big bore dirt bikes, modify the fuck out of it too! Fuck yeeeeeah they're awesome and worth dying for even for just 5 minutes on one. Do it! Get one! 500's are piss weak, 700cc is where it's at....of course 2 stroke, what else is there.
If anyone needs their ditches dug out, or a trench dug for water pipes, I have a CR500 with a one over size piston kit in it to help you with that! I thought my KTM500EXCF was fast, the CR is "stupid fast fun"(medical insurance strongly recommended) Cheers from British Columbia 🇨🇦👍😎
saattaa jopa olla enemmän mutta en usko... yleensä ku kuutioita nostaa saa helposti lisä tehoo mut kyse on yks pyttysestä ni 500 ja 700välil on prosenttuaalisesti pienempi ero ku 125 ja 250
@@Keskusrikospoliisi just ride the damn bike buddy. Get on it and rip it. Don’t be scared of that bike. Nobody wants to see you foul a plug puttin around on a 700cc bike.
Should paint 5he engine or get in chrome with metalic blue red and gold bolts etc doesnt look nide black in my opinion if youre leaving it black tho id at least add some lime green on the side casing etc
From British Columbia 🇨🇦 I want to see 999lazers 700 rip. I own a KTM500EXCF, and that's crazy enough HP as it is(70hp) As I say,"crazy stupid fast fun" I couldn't imagine a two stroke 700!!! That's nuts! But it sounds fun! Cheers from British Columbia 🇨🇦👍
@@levisalvini4110 Incorrect by a long shot. Zabel used to use Yamaha big bore 2 stroke engines in the early 80s but a pair of racers wanted to use a 2 stroke. They started with a CR500 engine and blew it up. Then Zabel said he would work with them but only if they used a Maico engine. The rest is history. Zabel made modification parts for Maico engines, like a bolt on cylinder. Since Maico had gone bankrupt and was unstable future in the 1990 Zabel just manufactured the whole engine themselves, which was based on Maico with their mods. Over the years it grew apart from Maico but still the same overall engine design, even the bolt patterns are the same. Zabel in 2000 made their gears thicker and the gear shaft 1mm thicker than the Maico. They eventually also went case induction. However, some parts are still interchangable and the bolt pattern on a Zabel engine is the same as Maico engine. Zabel used to make a 685cc but they are actually true 700ccs since the early 2000s and this one in this video is 700cc. Koestler who has been making Maicos since 2000 had sponsored a Supermoto team and they wanted more power than the 500 so he had a 620 and 685 (aka the 700) made for Supermoto racing. You can buy it today as an engine or a full bike. The differences between modern Maico and Zabel engines: Maico is cylinder induction/Zabel is case induction, Zabel has a larger intake and reed block than the Maico. Zabel has thicker gears and shaft. Zabel is dual plug head. Maico has MX and Enduro 5 speed gearing. Zabel is close ratio 4 speed. Things that are the same, the kicker and components like the clutch and the ignitions are the same. The bolt patterns are the same (although zabel has thicker frame bolts). The carb is the same. The front sprocket is the same. There may be other parts that are the same, I think the piston may even be the same (100mm) as I think zabel just has a longer stroke.
