Believe it or not, I still have my very first pair of Hondo boots that I cleaned corals for when I was 10 years old! I just took them out and oiled them up. Still in great condition, as I only used them when riding and roping. They are 46 years old! Thanks for the memory Brother!!
I've always loved a shaft on a boot of a different color. Just peeks out when wearing them with jeans and very often catches other peoples eye. Great way to open up a conversation about boots. They are going to look great with some wear on them. Not crazy about the white stitching around the sole but that tones down with wear out in the elements. You're going to love these bad boys.
My goodness, those are beautiful boots! Being a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, the red really does it for me. I also love the red piping down to the sole. It really pops. The texture of the bull hide is so cool! Thanks for the review! I’ll definitely be looking into these. My list keeps growing. Happy birthday, by the way!
I like those. The red and black is a great color combo and it would match my truck lol. Plus, you can never go wrong with any cattle hide boots for durability.
It’s actually hard to find a good pair of black leather cowboy boots because most are brown. I love the red shades and the high riding heel. So rare these days to find a pair of boots for men that don’t have walking heels. The tall shafts are amazing. Great looking pair of boots!
Phil from Hondo is a smart man! Providing killer boots to you is great advertising for sure. I have always loved Hondo boots for all the quality reasons you mentioned, and the price is more than reasonable. These boots are my favorites of all the ones you own and have reviewed. You can rock those killer red shafts confidently, and I'm happy to see you in two inch heels, those quality Hondos will feel like walking in your best Nikes. Hoping to see you wear those boots over some skinny levis someday also. This is so cool, enjoy those great boots....
Beautiful boot and don’t forget to wear them when you go to the interview, cause it would be a little awkward to show up in another brand of boot lol. I also think it would be really cool since you are a boot guy to cover some boot songs like These Boots by Eric Church, Boots On by Randy Houser, or Dirt On My Boots by Jon Pardi, and the list could go on but just an idea.
Interview was online. Will be releasing pieces of it over the next few weeks. Super interesting company and I learned a lot.I'll put those on a list to learn for sure!
Purchased these from a fellow enthusiast and I absolutely love it!! Hasn't fully broken in yet, since I just got them today and they are basically new, but loving it already!
dang that's a nice boot, i don't wear black boots but that one might be an exception lol. That's awesome that they sent you that pair and that you got an interview with them. really excited to see that.
@@JeremiahCraig thats awesome man. Glad to hear you are getting to experience experience all that and that there is still alot more to come for you bro
Hi. I LOVE THOSE BOOTS!!! You are so Lucky to have got them. Love the Red Shaft. I like the Round Toe too. That Heal is So So Nice! I have to order a pair! Great Job Again!
The rubber heel cap will but not the stacked leather. When the rubber heel cap wears down too much, just take them to a cobbler and they'll put a new one on. Good idea on the video. I'll add it to the list
SOME GUYS HAVE ALL THE LUCK! Congratulations on another boot score from another company!! I have known of the Hondo brand name for a while but never looked into them as a company or at any of their product before. Despite that, those do look to be a very nice-looking pair of boots!
I recommend looking into them. The only problem is that they're tough to find. www.nrsworld.com/ has some. Not this one though. I hope they find a distributer soon who will carry all of their boots!
A lot of these company’s from have a place in Texas and they make in Mexico cause the Mexicans make awesome boots they know how to make cowboy boots all the company’s should be this good to you
I have a pair of Tony's from 1981 that are almost identical. Black bull hide, half round toe, contest riding heel, probably 15" tops, stitched pull holes, black shafts with red stitching, red piping, buckaroo style. I've had them all these years and they're my favorites. Unfortunately, as I've aged my feet have grown (flattened) a size or two, and now they're pretty snug. Tony Lama doesn’t make them anymore, so my only option was to buy a pair of Drew's buckaroo style boots for $425 or so. I'm going to check out Hondo! Thanks for the review!
Have you done, or will you do a video showing all of your cowboy hats? And that is a beautiful boot! When I look at it I think of the 4th of July event with fireworks, food and games. The only thing I don't like it the top of the tops with the edge not being a smooth curve. Not sure what it's called tho. Example at 2:14
I think you're talking about the scallop? I can understand that you don't like that part. I dig it. I didn't have anything like that in my collection until now. I don't think I'd want all my boots to have it but I like that this one does
You need some wear those red boots buckaroo style to show them off!! Do they have it in a 15 or taller shaft? Thanks for sharing this with us. Your friend in New Mexico, Kim.
@@JeremiahCraig Thanks for the information, I appreciate it. I'll have to look for them on the internet. I live fairly close to El Paso, just in New Mexico maybe I could could buy them directly!! Thanks again, your friend Kim.
Thanks Josh and congrats on your new boots! It's always a little nerve racking when you try something new but if you feel good in them then just focus on that. Doesn't matter what folks think really. Just that you're feeling good and having fun. Get it done man!
I have a question for you, do you like square toe boots. In my opinion I love them. My favorite boot ever is the ariat marine digital camo patriot boot.
Hondo doesn't sell direct but you might be able to get them from a store. There's one place that carries a similar boot in Idaho and I did a video on them. Call them if you can and ask if they'll ship! Here's the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LU9lee11w5k.html
The only thing I can recommend is to go to a boot store and try on a boot with a cowboy heel. Walk around for 10 to 15 min in the store. Focus on how they make you feel. If you really like the feeling of them, just focus on that feeling. Don't worry about what other people think. Focus on what makes you feel like the best version of yourself and if that's in a boot with a cowboy heel, that's awesome... if not that's cool too. Don't worry about it too much. Just do what makes you feel comfortable.
I love these boots but can’t seem to find anyone selling this model. I have to have the red. As all true pickups are red , they would match my truck. Any idea where I could lay my hands on a pair of these. Who do you recommend?
Now that is what i'm talking about , I can save up for these boots I really like am ! Love the toe too ! I really like Hondo boots now ! This comment is brought to you by the medium round toe bunch ! Thanks for the videos Jeremiah !
Depending on where you are you might not be able to find them. They are only in stores west of the Mississippi River for the most part. Not carried on the east coast at all
Anyone have any guidance on the fit of Hondo boots compared to other makers? I wear 8.5 D in Laredos, but my foot size is 9.5 and tried on a pair of 10.5 D Tony Lamas recently that were too tight.
Victor Cortes See that’s what I was thinking due to the fact that Ariat does make a good work boot but I wasn’t sure because my Justin’s are really comfortable. And I’ve never had Ariat before
I have a pair of steel toe Justins. Made in china ones. I haven't tried the Ariat equivalent but I've been impressed with the Justins. They've held up well and are totally waterproof and I've tested them every chance I get haha
