The Husli clock has been in production for over 30 years as far back as when Hones still made the black-clothed dancers. The older versions had a 3-train mechanism unlike the most recent version here that has a normal 2-train mechanism found in most clocks with the music box being seperate to the clock mechanism entirely. On the 3-train mechanism the speed governor was put on the mechanism instead of the actual music box itself as you'd get in nearly century-old cuckoo clocks like my Gebruder Kuner and my old Rombach & Haas cuckoo clocks. They have 3-train mechanisms with the music boxes being driven by the mechanism instead of being triggered by the mechanism like in most 21st-century cuckoo clocks(except the enormous ones like the Hones 8634/9T and the Romba Grand Collector's clock) and late 20th century small-sized cuckoo clocks. The older Husli clocks also played Bayrischer Landler and the Cuckoo Waltz.
My 8680T clock from Hones is also over 30 years old. The 3-stroke movement from SBS Feintechnik was worn out. The clock was restored 2 years ago by Hönes in Titisee-Neustadt and equipped with a new SBS movement and chimes and chains. SBS in Schonach still makes these 3 strike timepieces. You can order them!
