OPINION ALERT This is why storytelling rap is the best. Kaan's entire career simply has just been one big story that lots can relate to and are happy to follow. Here we are, 5* years later and this man Kaan is still dropping the fire keeping us updated on how he's been. : )
Cristiano Marques Joyner has a type of story telling where he has characters to show what his lyrics means, different perspectives. Kaan’s storytelling is about himself and his own personal experiences which he dabbled into his music sharing what he feels not how other people would see his thoughts
@@FT_Ted I had heard of both Xzibit and E-Dubble before K.A.A.N, no discrediting or hate to either of them but I wasn't as impressed hearing either of them the first time as I was m first time listening to K.A.A.N
I'm 36 and my daughter is 11 and we are both fans, I'm trying to make sure she knows what real rap is. That Mary Jane song was my way in, she loves Halsey. Once I showed her that she was in.
MrStarry you right but luckily this is RU-vid there’s a censored version of everything. When I do bump the uncensored she don’t say nada when the curses come through, plus I’m emphasizing the word play to her not the curses. I got 3 older boys who won’t rock with me so it’s got to be her lol. I appreciate you looking out though for real.
NoNoNoNii honestly depends on the song. Like this one she can listen through with no issues from me. I get that she is probably exposed to mad shit out in the world, but as her dad I gotta set limits when she’s with me. I’m not one of those parents that think it’s cute when their kid curses and grows up talking to me reckless. Btw I mean no offense.
Bro, I can hear the pain, sweat, and tears you put into this through your movements & your voice. Thank you for sharing your talents. No one is ever alone. Just lonely. 🙏🏼🔥🤩
Lyrics : Pressed for time, ain’t enough hours in the day tho’ So I just get high and lay low A clock ticking, and every second is like a two minute warning Tick, tick, tick (tick, tick, tick) I didn’t practice for this shit, I ain’t prepared for it Pressing forward, presence dormant Flow off kilter but shit I’m still up on it Right in the pocket where I need to be I feel like Elway in ’93 Tons of potential, I ain’t got a ring A lot of losses, fiending for a win The underdog complex, it’s either me or dem I’m ’bout to drown in the sea I’m in I got connected with the BPM like I don’t even need a pen I’d rather talk about the shit I feel I give a fuck about opinions and who think it’s real, for real I never listen man, where it get me? Out in California, driving in the Benz counting hundreds and fifties And that’s progression at it’s fucking best But they would rather see me struggling and stressed, settling for less Still in the basement doing shit for free, my nigga please That false reality identity ain’t made for me Made some adjustments so that I could live more comfortably Ain’t fighting for no false beliefs when they would never fight for me Jumped up off the fucking porch, a nigga had to spread his wings Yeah I stuck the landing and I soared, but that was self belief It’s too late to turn back now, I’m on this one-way The first seat in first class, taking off on the runway But most of these niggas got it fucked up for real though You couldn’t have walked a mile in my shoes, that’s just not possible You niggas don’t have the damn fortitude to beat the obstacles I’m looking around like what should I do? Just keep it moving No sense in stopping or pausing, this mind state is appalling Like Pistol Pete, I went all in I’m just shaking defenders, I make ’em remember My heart done turned as cold as December In terms of roles, I played the king and man these niggas is Simba Mustafa the stopper, M’Baku with the way that I block ’em Don’t bring that bullshit ’round me, no I cancel that like Nino Am I my brothers keeper? Yeah you goddamn right The only problem is that just extends to me, myself and I Nobody else, I got myself, that’s numero uno And you would feel the same nigga, if you knew what I knew If you done seen what I seen If you done been where I been I’m in the conversation like apostrophes and hyphens These niggas getting amped off of yes men and hype men But can’t get your career off the ground like white men I just tell ’em be honest, eh, be a I just tell ’em be honest, eh, be a I think I’m beyond it, eh, be a I said I’m beyond it, eh, be a I tell ’em be honest, eh, be a I said I’m beyond it, eh, be a

This is what I love about Artists like K.A.A.N, he understands what a lot of us are thinking. his line "They would rather see me struggle and stressed." Like, the whole point of being a fan is to see the artist come up, get better and become a healthier, happier version of themselves. That's why I hate seeing posts like "I wish they would go back to their old music." Like, people don't understand that going back to their old music means going back to their old mental state, habits. I love that K.A.A.N is progressing and I can't wait for the day that he Prospers and is finally at peace with himself.
1:37 “It’s to late to turn back now, I’m on this one way...” Well dayum! I just love that he turns a left when he says that and is facing the sun, as he’s on his way to a brighter future. Either that or, I’m making it have more meaning than it needs.
Bro PLEASE never stop being you my man. Your songs have brought a part of me i thought i had lost. Honesty... That's what we need more people being honest.

@@egglesseggsalad8703 That's fair, I can respect this. I tend to vary my style though so you can't base it all off one track, that's where my name comes from due to the fact I make both melodic and lyrical rap
Kaan, I've been listening to you for years and the fact that you haven't become "mainstream" pisses me off, like not your sound but your position. I've listened to so many artists over the years and I have yet to find a artist that has as much talent as you do. The wordplay and kaancepts is off the charts and the message is real and the fact that no one has noticed is just mind boggling. Much love 💜
I want him to drop merch so bad, i've been lisening to k.a.a.n for around 5 years now, never stopped or paused.. I'm so in love with his music, and I will never stop doing so. When he has a song for every single mood. Keep doing what you're doing❤. I will always keel supporting you!❤
K.A.A.N goes the hardest yet not noticed his flows are insane, I’m more impressed how lyrical you are and how I can feel every word spit, using it as a tool of pain guidance failure progression, problems, success.
Your the best dude keep up the amazing work my guy... just believe in yourself your song give people joy and hope and that’s what matters most.. your amazing bro

K.A.A.N. deserves to be rolling in a CLS, not a CLA. Why hasn't he blown up yet? Is it because he actually has a good voice? Because he has an incredible flow? If mumble rap and the voice of a throat cancer patient wasn't the current trend of hip-hop, he would be in the top charts right now. Right where he deserves to be.
Truly the best artist and deffinatly took alot of piecing the puzzle together ...but I guess it's true if not many have gotten it yet. My obsession with another artist mind lead me hear. See how many others pay attention.
Honesty the camodity i got a lot in me. Tryna show them how I see. I remember 3 years ago listening to Whiite Lines.. Then it was Concealed The Outro. Then Mary Jane. And LTN. And Breathe.. The adjustments youve made to live more comfortably is growth.. Thank you for keeping that fortitude when the mindset is appauling. I know you quit reading comments cause they dont do shit for you. I have grown up listening to you. Youre like almost someone I look up to. Instead after a long day of life I can listen to you. Like Awayo I be from all my bullshiy. Youre music take me when it aint comfortable to breathe. When I'm angry, sad, or when I just hate me. Listening to you I get someone knows what struggle is like me. Cant wait till youre coastin' on top.
Feel similar Andrew, with his work ethic too, KAAN pumps music out consistently, it's refreshing. I personally wanna see more tracks like this, where they come full circle, this is a gem of a track, one of his best in recent projects IMO.
K.L.M = K.A.A.N Life Music Honestly if he made sum merch that has those written on a shirts, sweater or hat I'd definitely buy at least 4 of them * edit (Well no merch, an I respect that he don't want any either)
if he wants, he can just open a shop on teespring.com, go to 99designs.com let someone do the design and let his fans support him financially since nobody in this day and age buys music
I discovered this dudes music about a year and a half ago and have been keeping up ever since, I went back and found literally every piece of music of his that's available on the internet and I'm not even joking when I say I haven't heard ONE bad song by him. Dude is a beast and Is way underrated. I love this mans work and hope he continues the way he is, big things will come eventually.
Damn this song is now my 3rd best song from Knowledge....he's been constantly replacing that 3rd spot. My number 1 from K.A.A.N is Soulting than Phoenix this man is destroying my Speakers. Thanks for more Honest Jams
Kaan is a good enough rapper to interrupt me while I'm recording with his notifications, and I'm like... welp, this is important I gotta take it. Or even interrupt me when my grandmother calls I have to tell her to hold up for a minute bc this is important and I gotta take it...
