Cathy I was like you before, selfish, and I have learned my lesson when my ex husband left me! Now I regret not being able to regulate my ADHD and listen to him. I am now learning to work on listening more to people i talk to. I am still single even after 10 years and will not be selfish again when I met another one... if I meet him. If not, i will take that lesson for the rest of my life.

I agree with what Mikee said: " prioritze communication more"...kasi the misunderstanding starts from there. When couple want to relay their opinion in every topic, even if you are not really good listener, you have to compromise: focus on your partner while having a conversation even if you don't like the topic, at least your partner will feel your presence and to let the partner feel na interested ka din. Huge impact po yun for the relationship.
You have an amazing husband. My husband and I couldn’t have biological kids, but we adopted a 2 year old and are adopting a 6 year old. It has been such a blessing. I’m not sure how hard it is to adopt in the Philippines, but perhaps that is a possibility in addition to, God willing, biological children for you both.
