Lovely, detailed review. One thing to update..Room Service is back to pre Covid..FREE from 11 - 10:30pm and $17 outside of rhat time. It really is lovely resort. The grounds are stunning ans magical at nights
Love the review. Very helpful. Did you see the family selection rooms? What I’m looking at. The 2 story ones. Also, was it difficult getting a cabana by the pool or a place with shade. Going in July 2023. Need something with shade. Don’t want to wake up early to reserve
Thank you! I didn’t see the inside of a family selection room since we didn’t travel with our son. However, they well place you on that side automatically if you select that you’re traveling with children. The 2 story ones are the best option for the space and privacy. For the cabanas, you may be able to reserve that in advance with the front desk. We recently went to their Jamaica location (Review coming soon) and I remember seeing a phone number on those areas for easy reservation. If anything, you may be able to call the location to confirm before you’re trip.
I don’t remember for each one, but I recently stayed at the Grand Palladium Jamaica location (2023 Review coming soon) and their main pool closing time was around 6 pm when the sun began to set and beach access remained at your own risk. A few people were walking the beach at night and early in the morning to catch the sunrise from my group during this vacation, so I think it was not a closing for the beach.
Thanks for your detailed review of GP. I am visiting GP Costa Mujeres with family for a B-day gathering next month. I noticed you showed massage tables along the beachside in your review, how far off from the resort is that service located? I checked spa packages at the GP Resort they were trending high $$$.
We were in Isla Mujeres & taken there by boat via a third party. A bus picked us up from the resort and the boats were located about 10 minutes away. The boat ride was about 30-40 minutes out. You can see the experience in this vlog : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WOMyfsg9_Mk.html
Hey Soror… thank you for the info.. I’m looking at your other videos now. I’m going to Cancun next week but don’t know which hotel to book. Thank you for this
Hey💙😍 You’re welcome! I really liked this one because the food was really good and I enjoyed the amenities. It’s also not super expensive like the Secrets Moxche property. If you want an upgrade, then you can definitely look at the TRS property which is on the same resort but includes a butler.
Yes! They provide you with a personal butler and there’s access to a few special areas, but the food is about the same. Some of the people from our group trip had rooms over there & said that they liked some of the nightlife etc. on our side better, but enjoyed the personal butler experience. I think you will enjoy it either way tbh.
Sorry for the delay! She said that everything depends on the number of guests. She thinks the space cost 1500-1700 but that doesn't include food or DJ. I hope that helps
You can kind of see it in this Vlog! Fast forward to the time stamp of me by the pool . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VG-LRSdhDhY.html
Have we been in the same place? It is the WORST hotel I've ever been in. It's a wannabe 5 stars hotel but it is just pretentious. I just save the structure itself but the rest is very bad. Some main points: Staff: you have always the feeling that they are treating you with arrogance and condescending, expecially when you are highlighting problems. Hygene: -room: the sheets and the towels had to be changed several times because they were broken (holes) and stained (large brown spots...) -restaurant: tables and tablecloths were often dirty (a waiter used is own wrist to clean one when we have noticed it to him). The food, especially the one that is supposed to be kept at low temperature, stays for hours exposed at ambient temperature. Restaurants: the quality of the food and the wine is bad. Usually I don't leave the food in the plate because I hate wasting it but sometimes it was so bad that I had the fear to risk some kind of food intoxication. Really, I don't know which are your hotel references but this goes negatively beyond every hotel of this category I've ever experienced in my life.
Thank you for sharing your recent experience. My video is based on mine last year and the videos (daily vlogs from this trip) are on my channel as well. I didn’t experience any issues during the visit.
