great review only thing I see that's different from what you said is that it's not quiet.... lol it has a distinct sound that's louder than the other polarstars.
I love this thing I plan on getting one from +Amped Airsoft with in a week to drop in too my VFC 416 I love Hpa I have used smp's before I love how quiet they are and how fast, when the F1 was coming out I was pumped and then the jack came out for cheaper can't wait to get to the field
Hello amped, my name is Dominic and recently I purchased a polarstar Jack. I installed it on my version 2 full metal gearbox. Stuck it back in my gun and the kept shooting left. I went online and people said that it might have been my hop-up or barrel. I bought a completely new hop-up and barrel from evike. Installed the new flat hop and barrel. The gun still fired left. I disassembled my gear box and made sure everything was aligned and strait. It was, everything looked perfect in my gearbox. I installed it again and the exact thing, firing to the left. I though maybe 80 psi is too high so I turned it down to 60 psi, then 40 psi. The gun still fired to the left. I was so upset that I took my brand new, GnG m4, riped it apart and took the gearbox from it. I installed the jack in a BRAND NEW gear box, never even been fired, and installed it in my gun. It still shot left!!! I said it has to be something im doing wrong, so I installed a longer barrel and my old hop-up on the gun. It kinda shot strait, but the shots were so inconsistent I didnt even know what to do. I have tried everything to the best of my knowledge to make this gun fire strait, even installing the jack on a brand new gearbox! I gun fires to the left, with .28g bbs, at 40-80 psi. I know a decent amount about airsoft guns, and I tired the Jack on 2 different systems, and it still fires left. If you tell me to use heavier gram bbs im going to jump off a cliff. It has to be defective manufacturing of the jack for it to preform as bad as it did. Thanks for reading -Dominic
Hi guys at amped. Is there specific places where lube should be applied in the engine? & Should the o rings be taken off and lubed individually? Thanks !
I had just bought one of these the other day and it isn’t allowing me to shoot more than 20 rps, if it goes higher it will just blow air out (not dry firing) of the barrel can someone help me out?
You could have a couple different issues: 1.) Make sure that your SR setting is set to 0. (This affects semi only, but worth setting). 2.) Make sure that your magazines are feeding fast enough for your setup. 3.) Make sure that your alignment is correct to allow proper feeding. I would start with the above and let us know via our email sales@ampedairsoft.com. Hope this helps! Thanks! Kurtis
Apologies for the poop ton of comments, but if you make an IGL specifically for the Jack...if it's not called the JIGL I'm going to be quite heartbroken :C
+Seraphim Sadly we do not have just a JIGL, the normal IGL works for the Jack. In your mind you can always call it a JIGL. -Saff (the barer of bad news)
6yrs too late but I'm sure a lot of avid airsofters know Jacks are mediocre at best. If you plan on using one in a m4 use the redshart bucking and midcaps filled with .40g or heavier to get tuned AEG accuracy. They are so prone to midcap syndrome due to the open bolt design. It's a real pain in my opinion to get them to shoot decent. Most of the ones I've shot are basically shotguns, although it's typically someone installing one and running .28g bb's or even .20g bb's and not aligning the engine.
You guys didn’t exactly go over where to apply lubricant... does any one know in which areas lubricant is needed, I’ve had mine for about 3-4 months now and I just want to make sure it is well taken care off and want to lube it.. thanks in advance.
Hi there Jordan! You will want to lubricate any where in the Jack where there is an O-Ring and Friction Surfaces (Such as the Nozzle Shaft). Please ensure to use TechT Lubricant or some other Paintball based lubricant. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks! Kurtis
+Spratster definitely because I put it in a 363mm barrel with perfect air seal and all that and it was so quiet someone didn't know I was shooting at them from like 50 feet away @75psi
My polarstar jack is shooting we’re the bbs curve to the right consistently. I have checked my bucking, nub, inner barrel, and hop up, every thing seems to be fine but it keeps happening. I also tried uring a friend hop up assmenbaly that worked fine in his gun but had the same problem in mine. Any help would be nice.
hey guys!! i used my jack at op irene and it ran flawless, after igot back home i installed an igl and shot a few times, now my solenoid has a very faint leak???? Im lost ive tried everything. please help?
Thank you! 8) When it comes to cleaning, typically as long as you take care to not put your line in the dirt, you will not have to clean it often. However, when you do decide you need to clean it, you will want to disassemble it and lube any oring and friction points. So mainly the nozzle and poppet inside. Don't go wild with the grease, you will only want to put a light layer on everything and wipe off any excess. It's recommended to remove the o-rings and clean the oring grooves and then reapply lubricant on the oring itself and surrounding area. Make sure to use lubricant like the following, this is the industry standard atm: ampedairsoft.com/techt-gun-sav-1oz/ Hope this helps! Thanks! Kurtis
And for all who say its copying this or that it doesn't really matter if it weren't for all the coping many things wouldn't be out when people copy stuff it just grows and expands the sport everyone here likes so does it matter what its a copy of?!?!
So I know I’m 5 years late on this but I’m looking to polestar my scar-L and I am from Ohio. I had plans already to come see your store and was wondering if I could bring in my gear box and see if it would work?
i only shot about 2400 rds with 16inch barrel at 80psi using 62/3000 tank (SLP) although the tank only have 2000psi is that usual?? i'm quite worry about it PS: i buy it from amped :D
Couls you explain more about the jack? Do you need to replace the nozzle like the fusion engine to get higher or different fps? Or can you just use the psi to amp up the fps?
HI there! With the JACK you simply adjust your regulator's PSI to dictate your FPS. Also the length and bore diameter of your barrel can raise or lower your FPS significantly one way or the other. Hope this helps! Thanks! Kurtis
I'm looking into get into the hpa world I'm just trying to get someone's opinion on which one is the best in torn between the wolverine the jack and the protect mk2 anyone's comments with there opinion is appreciated
Hello, I've had my Jack for about 2 weeks now and It is EXTREMELY inefficient on air. I corrected my DP to where if I drop it anymore the FPS drops. I'm running 100psi 69 DP with a 48cu by 3000psi tank and I'm getting maybe 1000 rounds out of that tank with .25g. Is there any way to fix this?
Hi there! Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Jacks Air Efficiency. When you have a moment, please shoot us an email at sales@ampedairsoft.com and we can help you troubleshoot this. There are a couple things that could be happening. One of them may be due to improper nozzle alignment as well as setting related issues. One of the first things we would ask you to do is to do a full factory reset on your FCU (Hold joystick down and plug in battery. Release after 2-3 seconds) then give it a try and see if that helps. We will look forward to hearing from you. Thanks! Kurtis
I need help. I just dropped in my jack and it has a small leak every once in a while, it will not shoot full auto without continuously leaking and shoots semifine. If anybody has any tips please help
Hi there! Thank you for your message. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Jack. We would recommend disassembling the Jack and relubricating your internals and checking your O-Rings. Please make sure to double check your wire harness as well for any damage and insure that your wire harness is firmly plugged into your FCU. Hope this helps! Thanks! Kurtis
Hi..Could you please explain, how the nozzle movement works? What makes it move backward for bb's reloading, it is must be a pressure, but how? Didn't get it. Thanks
I live in a country wich has a pretty cold and moist weather during about 50% of the time so my question is how does the circuit board for the fcu handle that? Would be a real shame if it just broke taking it outside when it's cold or alittle rainy...
In our experience, we have had customers who have been in these types of conditions where it works well for them, but it is definitely a concern. The newer boards and what not are a little more resistant to moisture, but obviously you do not want to get them wet by any means. We recommend keeping them safe in the buffer tube where water can not reach them. We have played with our rifles in the rain with no issue as well. I believe this is possible since the FCU is pretty much protected inside. If you were to dunk your gun in water, obviously there would be a big issue. Hope this helps! Kurtis
Thank you for such a quick reply, i'm definetly thinking of picking up a jack for my upcomming dmr build, most places to play where I live are outside, in medium to dense forests so running a hpa over aeg would most likley be a better choice, even more so since the jack is quite affordable compared to other brands i've looked up such as, tippmann and wolverine.
No problem! Glad we could be of help! The Jack makes for a great all around system and installs easily into most setups. It's actually our number one seller atm. If you have any questions what so ever, please do not hesitate to hit us up via email at sales@ampedairsoft.com Best of luck with your new build! Thanks! Kurtis
hi guys, i installed a jack in my replica. it runs with a prommy 6.03 ss, prowin hopup, namuzu flathop, prommy purple bucking. but i dont get those accurate hits, they realy fly everywhere. and im sure this is because of the ufc settings. i realy tryed everything. Can you guys help me with some settings to start with. It came standard with DP40, 18RF. thanks!
purehaecky The inconsistency is happening because of the prometheus purple bucking. The polarstar jack known as a open bolt system requires a bucking that holds a bb on the lips before it's sent down the barrel to keep consistency high. Recommended buckings for the polarstar jack is the madbull red shark, lonex 70d and the g&g green cold resistant
Stock Polarstar lines are fragile and can crack if you bend them too much, because of the plastic they're made of. Amped lines are more like... Reinforced rubber I guess? Basically just a whole lot better.
maybe you guys can help me I have a specna arms gun with a polarstar jack with a 6,03 maddbull barrel and a prowin hopup with the prowin it dryfires awsome but with the mag it just makes a soft pfmp sound so I began trouble shooting and with my standard hop it worked okay sometimes it made the pfmp sound but shot almost all of the times ? maybe you guys have a idea ? thanks in advance
Hi there! Sure thing! It sounds to me like you may have one of the following issues: - Hop Bucking needs reseated/reinstalled. There is a chance that BBs are having an issue going through your hop bucking. - JACK unit/Gearbox is not aligned well, which may be causing your nozzle to rub and not feed BBs correctly. You can check your JACK nozzle alignment by placing a flash light into your mag well and looking down the barrel to see if you nozzle is centered. (DO THIS UNLOADED and DeGased Please!) If the nozzle is not centered, then you will need to align your jack/gearbox so that it is. If you have any questions, please shoot us an email to sales@ampedairsoft.com. Thanks! Kurtis
okay I will try this tomorrow I already checked the alignment and it was straight I will try and reinstal the prowin tomorrow with a spare hop rubber and hope it works thanks for the help guys, as always best service out here !
The Standard FCU is a little larger but has an LCD display and a joystick that allows you to set your settings on the fly. The Mini is a smaller FCU, but has no display on it. The Mini FCU is programmed by trigger pulls. It is idea for builds that do not have the space for a full FCU. The Mini FCU also has the ability to fit within the gearbox, whereas the Standard FCU has to be stored in the Buffer Tube or pistol grip typically. Hope this helps! Thanks! Kurtis
i have a question for yall guys, What hpa system , gun is loud and very accurate. Im working now so i have more mony to drop; I heard tippys are load and accurate but i also want a rate of fire that is around 30-40. Thanks
+Task Force Era Hey man, my Jack is most definitely louder than my Fusion Engine, much sharper/louder report. If you want loud, get a Jack, turn up the poppet dwell (wastes more air though, be warned), and fit an amplifier on the end of the barrel.
+Jack Walker Im buying a custom gun from amped airsoft and it has the fusion v2 gen 3. Any links to a charger because there's not many that have good reviews?
Stock Settings work. ;) But the best thing is to experiment with your rifle as each rifle is different. For the most part you will want to have the lowest DP you can while remaining at the FPS and feeding you that works for your setup. This will make your JACK as efficient as it can be. Hope this helps! -Kurtis
+CreeperGaming//explosionthis Amplifiers are fucking stupid, especially with such a quiet gun. Put a foam suppressor on there and go around ninja style, get a ghillie suit and lie in a bush, no-one will ever find you.
I have a polarstar JACK and know a few guys who have fusion engines and I personally love my jack and have not had a single problem in the 5 months or so that I have had it. In my opinion, I would buy the jack so you can buy a regulator and tank and whatnot and still be around the price of a fusion engine. And then you can get barrel upgrades and that kind of thing. But it really depends on your budget and how much you want to spend. The JACK is more air efficient, but the Fusion Engine will be more tunable and have higher fps, as well as a slightly nicer trigger response, but the jack beats it by far with budget pricing
Laser Destroyer typically hair triggers can cause the trigger board to break over time due to increased stress when you pull the trigger too hard. Many players do it though, just don’t let someone else pick up your gun and attempt to pull the trigger normally. Typically they think something is wrong with it and will break the board/trigger.
Up to you! Technically the Jack is a polarstar engine, but I'm assuming you mean Fusion Engine? If so, it all depends. If you are wanting the most tune-ability and performance, then the Fusion Engine, but if you are on a budget, then the jack. It performs good as well, just typically not as good as the fusion engine. Hope this helps! Thanks! -Kurtis
Amped Airsoft what is everything I need for a hpa setup. I want to run a Jack so I will need a hpa tank, a regulator, and a line that goes from the tank to the jack. Anything else?
They are designed around the VFC rifles, however, they work in virtually any M4 Style platform as well as AK platforms. We constantly install into VFC, Krytacs, and G&Gs. It mainly comes down to personal preference. Hope this helps!
Dwell is the amount of time the nozzle is held back and the amount of time it allows for air to flow, which equates to the volume of air traveling down your barrel at any given time. Tuning your dwell is important to having a good performing HPA unit. Hope this helps! Thanks! Kurtis
The B&w swap with time code is annoying if you’re going to change angles you should try to do it a little more drastically and not just look like you have 2 cameras on top of each other and also not swap from color to monochrome every 10 seconds I can’t focus on what you’re talking about when the frame jumps up 2 feet and changes color. also instead of doing this try using more B roll of the product you’re reviewing and mix in b roll of play time with low to no sound over your voice so we aren’t just looking at you talk about the product without seeing it in any detail
+Amped Airsoft But it is. If you believe that "During the machining process" they realized they could make this you are just silly. SMP came out and they had to compete. Simple as that.
Or you just guys just have to find something negative to comment. It's so ridiculous, like those android fanboys going on Apple videos just to comment or vice versa. No need to even comment that.
MrSWAGusa I hear where you're coming from. They both do the same thing so no fanboy activity here. Facts are facts though. If the SMP didn't come along, the Jack nor the upcoming F1 would even exist.
