@@Blitz_Protogen It's really fucking expensive in my country so I do find it cool when I see one. The two most expensive cars I've seen in my life were a Lambo Urus (In Rio de Janeiro, where there are loads of rich people) and a Jaguar F Type in my little city.
also were too broke to buy anything fancy so we have to learn to appreciate the little features we do have such as A/C that works at least 50% of the time and doors that actually open smoothly in all seriousness though hondas are very well built affordable cars and severely underrated, i love hondas because their engines hate dying
I owned an 89 Civic Si for 9 years, kept completely stock. Great little car until some drunk kid hit me & totaled it. I love how you borrowed from WBTC with the hondabump, it really completes this Honest video.
I’m a civic driver and I enjoyed this video so much man. Too bad you didn’t put the IX gen civic car (my gen) but I get it, a lot of people think it SUCKS. Yet I still think it’s the best car in the damn world 🎉
agreed I drive a gen IX hatch 1.8. such a practical and surprisingly sporty car. costs next to nothing to maintain and fuel consumtion is comparable to other turbocharged hatches due to great aero. love mine to bits. oh and it revs to 7k
The 9th gen has one of the greatest K24 engines ever made. People complained about the integrated exhaust manifold, but this allows an aftermarket turbo to spool faster. The bolt on turbo kit for the 9th gen allows the car to make 500WHP on a stock block. That is some record breaking stuff IMO.
Fun Fact: Honda made the NSX (the old one) to beat supercars and it did... They are putting every effort to make the power to weight ratio close to F1... Also, they haven't done any Sports car and went straight to supercars to beat Ferrari and Lamborghini and it did at it's first time...
Hey, that S2000 at 2:08 is pretty sweet! And my Honda lawnmower starts as advertised, on one pull. Not to mention it’s much quieter and more fuel efficient. So is my 4 cycle Honda string trimmer. 😂
Nah but fr, the NSX was so legendary. That atleast had to carry out hondas name even more. But nope, we got the supra kids, the skyline kids... Then there's me, the one who stands out.. THE HONDA BOY 😎
Love the videos, especially this one lol only thing is Acura came before Lexus so they weren't left out of anything, Toyota and Nissan didn't wanna get left out if anything. Great video nonetheless 🤣
hahaha yea you got this spot on, the gen 5 prelude for sema is the direction im going and i do love most builds shitty or not, cause work is work and as long as its enough to keep it running thats more than a good majority of the public do
I feel like every honest car ad video made within ten years of now should just be the statement: "(insert car brand's name), remember when we made cars you like? Well, now we exclusively make crossovers or we will soon because no one can say they have no use for a crossover and we won't make anything anymore unless we can sell it to everyone or sell each unit for $250,000 or more... If we don't make supercars, we just make crossovers"
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that, Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines. On top of that, he just came into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.
@@emergencyresponsevideosand4423 As grey imports. The 8th-gen Civic was indeed officially sold in the U.S, but not for the Type R counterpart. Besides, the North American market's 8th-gen Civic is the FA chassis, not the FD chassis. Any Civic FD chassis that's in the U.S now is a grey import Civic.
Yes the joy, the fun, the heritage, the heart of Honda is in all those Civic Type R’s & SI’s, S2000s and Preludes, and the NSX & Integra. But for those of us who have families & love our kids, the Accord, Odyssey & Pilot are no regrets purchases that are still at least a little fun to drive….especially relative to their competitors. I’ve owned all three & would take them over the Camry, Sienna, Highlander, Altima, & Pathfinder any day!
I mean the amount of development from 3 party aftermarket parts for B-series, D-series and K series is so vast that it makes it a very versatile even their chasis too.
The NSX is underrated by Honda fans, not genuine performance enthusiasts. The NSX is awesomely balanced and it's design has stood the test of time. It along with the GT-R and Supra is a true JDM trifecta. I've noticed the S2000 gets the same treatment from Honda "fans". At this point I'm convinced being a Honda fan is just being a fan of poverty and giving the opposite appearance.
You have to do a Honest Mazda commercial next. As a Miata fan,it'll be pain to see you roast the absolute shit out of it but it can be also interesting so,looking forward to seeing that.
All know about honda is my last one I had lasted 21 years( other people had it before me) and had 500 000 kilometres before the gauge died at the 15 year mark but other than that i have no idea if this is accurate.
what type of honda you own says about you: fit: you are fit, and you have a fit in your honda fit cuz you don't fit. (wtf did i type) motorcycle: OG BABY civic: does it have vtec, and a k20a swap? vtec era civic: VTEC VTEC BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM B SERIES K20 WAWAWAWAW van: come on homie why
Proud owner of an accord for myself, an element for MTB and camping trips, a civic for my teenage son and an odissey for wifey. All from 2005 to 2012. I bought 4 older cars instead of a new one for the same money. Very reliable and fun cars. Couldn’t be happier with the Honda fleet, Especially my V6 accord (chef kiss).
As a honda owner my true review is that honda is safe , reliable, cheaper than those shitty unsafe supras, and also can make alot of noise when u go to sports mode and turn of eco. I own a Honda City 5th Gen and it is truly amazing
sooo right :) After owning Honda as the first car, I have to learn to love other cars. It was just Civic 1.5 Economy V-TEC (sedan :). Love how the chassis works...undrperformed but you keep the speed. I was replacing tires really often :) it was 15 years back :D
The comment about Honda selling Acuras cause they don't wanna feel left out is incorrect. Honda was the first Japanese automaker to launch a Luxury car brand.
