Hmm, i think the thing you felt was missing is something that actually makes astro very unique in their music. If I were to describe the majority of astro title tracks, i would describe them as having a "soft drop" and "flowing river" type music. Like they don't have the traditional buildups you'll find in K-pop, but rather their music flow like water throughout the song, it starts out slow, getting faster until the choreo, where we're hit with something akin to the sound of a waterfall, powerful but also peaceful. Astro is also well-known for their aesthetic music videos and their beautiful and "flowy" choreography. I hope you check out more of them, because honestly they deserve the world. :)
Their first song I heard was Blue flame and I'm in love since then... I still have to be in the Fandom 😭 cause I haven't tried knowing about them much, I just know their names and I listen to their songs... They're unique and have great vocals, one of the best I must say
agreed. i think that’s what set them apart from other kpop groups. they also have so much variety in their music so it’s impossible to get sick of them.
i feel like astro is definitely different from other kpop groups. the concepts they take on, their choreo, and their songs are all not the type u hear from other groups. their songs are more flowing and refreshing. i think astro is the type of group that people turn to for somewhat of a break from the loud hard kpop out there. personally, i feel that astro has the most variety when it comes to their music considering all of the concepts and genres they’ve worked with.

as ASTRO's fan, i respect your opinion 100%, you are so honest and there's nothing wrong with that, if you will allow yourself to watch their first ever title tracks from their debut, which is HIDE&SEEK until Knock, i know you'll change your first impression on them..i am not a kpop fan until i knw ASTRO so the vibe i saw in them hits differently, so pls take time to watch their songs more

as a huge astro fan, firstly i'm happy that you let a chance to the boys! It's okay to not like a music we all have different taste in music! I hope that you'll let them a second chance tho, they have a lot of talent, i recommend "All night" and "Crazy Sexy Cool" maybe it'll suit you more :)
For me, it took my 4th listen to truly enjoy the song. (The 4th time was when I saw someone celebrating its release on tiktok 😅) I don't know why, but it gives me a bit of "anime edits" nostalgia from 2014. But yeah, two songs that I think you will really enjoy from ASTRO are *Crazy, Sexy, Cool* and *All Night* . Those two really made get into ASTRO.
ASTRO is really unique group..in case of choreography and the songs too... every time when they drop a song its really different.. and you are right this song is really quiet which is really different and make outstand with others... if you can please do react to their whole album reaction GATEWAY.. And about the Knock song.. i think u will get into the song more when you get know the concept of CB... yeah its true for some people its really like that...
I guess you can say that Astro's music style is a bit "soft", I wasn't personally that attracted to it at first, since I kinda liked"big" drops or with songs a bit more "edge/roughness"(??does it makes sense?) But I find their songs really refreshing, and easy to listen to, even frequently. I like some of their songs, but they have really great ones! And the mvs are really pretty ;))
I love your reaction and it's possible Knock might not be your kind of jam and like you said might be a bop for some people. Knock was the first song I listened to that made me like Astro and I kept getting amazed by how different each come back was. I suggest you watch more of their previous come back MVs like Blue flame,Always you, All night , Baby. They have a refreshing concept that can't get you bored easily and easy on the ears lol
Their music and concepts are really really varied so I hope you'll look at more from them in the future! Their B-side performances are also really great and beautiful to listen and look at, so don't stop at the MVs! Thank you for the reaction
As far as I know you, you might like their song “All Night”. I’m an army, blink, nctzen, and a reveluv, not really a fan of them but I really liked that song from them. Edit: One of the members, his name is Eunwoo, he is also an actor. His drama is named “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty”. That’s how I knew Astro, tbh tho I thought Eunwoo was just an actor then I started searching for him after watching that drama, and I didn’t even know he was an idol. But they are really great and talented, they’re so underrated.
