There are actually a lot of supplementary videos that explain the story better but here's the best explanation I've read to date: Ateez are pirates who were gifted that hourglass (called a chromer) which allows them to travel through time and between dimensions. At first, they are searching for treasure and having adventures, but eventually they run into these bad guys who have chains where their faces should be. The bad guys are from Dimension Z, whereas Ateez is from Dimension A which is presumably where we are as well. But there is another version of Ateez from Dimension Z called the Black Pirates (aka Halateez) who are the enemies of the no-face guys. At first Ateez teams up with Halateez to fight against the no-face guys (they are the ones in the black hats in the MVs for Answer, Say My Name, and Hala Hala). Eventually something happens and Halateez disappear (I'm not totally clear on this part) and Ateez ends up in Dimension Z instead of Halateez. What they discover is that the no-face guys are in charge of the government and they have brainwashed everyone in Dimension Z to have no emotions so that they can be controlled. Ateez sets up a subversive movement to take down the corrupt government and restore emotion to the people. To do this they use propaganda in the Guerrilla music video and chili peppers in the Bouncy music video (because apparently people can feel the burn of the spicy chilies and that helps reconnect them to feeling). They also smuggle weapons in the chilis. In this current episode (Crazy Mode mv) they need to finish taking down the government and get the heck out of Dodge. But the chromer is broken. It broke at the end of the Deja Vu music video so how are they supposed to leave? I think this is what Yunho and Wooyoung are working on in the lab. Meanwhile Jongho and Mingi break into the lounge where the high government officials do their business and start shooting things up. They other members are being rounded up by the government but they just have to wait till Jongho kills the leader and Wooyoung wraps up their plan for getting home. If you notice that in the beginning scene there is a crescent moon and in the final scene a full moon. Ateez can only travel on the full moon. In the extra scene at the end you see the full moon, but the pirate ship and presumably Ateez as well are gone even though they left the broken chromer in Dimension Z. In the song Halazia, Yeosang has a line, "little blue bird that list it's voice." I think they are using this as a metaphor for the people that lost their emotions (if you examine the other lyrics of Halazia). At the end of Crazy Form, you can clearly hear the bluebird singing as it takes to the sky. I assume this means that the bluebird found its voice and the people found their lost emotions. But without the chromer to help them travel will they be able to get back to Dimension A or will their new ship take them somewhere unexpected?
Perhaps they are travelling to a kind of "wonderland". (Alice in Wonderland) They've made a few allusions in that direction in the past and also in the Crazy form comeback.
Oh, seeing you say that this song has an antidrop that is similar to their debut song, Pirate King, it's very mindblowing 🤯. Because I've read quite a lot of theories from Atiny that this MV indicates that they will return to the pirate era again, in the sense that they are repeating their debut as pirates like in pirate king's debut song 😳.
Welcome aboard! Come in pleasee! If you like this, check Bouncy. And this whole album the mmmm has a bit of everything, check Arriba and MATZ are the more shocking like this. for R and B vocals check ITs you and For synth wave check Silver Light and Cyberpunk in the last album, and for dreamy fresh Dreamy Day, Youth. (And we have one of the current best younger voices. Check his solo ballad Everything in this album!)
Well this album actually has diss tracks included in it but the only "cursing" in the mv is San's peace sign with the glove covering his index finger 12:33 . He actually went viral (in 2021) for that, people thought he was flipping them off but it was the peace sign and the index finger got merged into the background coz of the glove lol According to San the company proposed this idea of including it in the mv...pretty smart if you ask me only the real ones will know :)
I can say tht i agree with u. When i first heard it i was also conflicted but the more i hear it i cant help but get hyped and now i cant get it out of my head😂😂😂
I love always being surprised by ATEEZ's music.-- it is predictable but not predictable. They stay true to themselves but really keep you guessing. ALWAYS FUN. // Hope you check out TVXQ's new song Down -- vocals, vocals, and more vocals // Thanks Aaron
Hi Aaron, finally..ateez cb mv reaction😍 yeah, like bouncy, crazy form has anti drop chorus for sure. Nevertheless Ateez could make people love it even it sound weird at first time hearing it,🎉😂 Aaron pls react to all the remain tracks. They're dope. Love u❤
LOL. Spanish speaker here, we even have memes with that part of song. It clearly sounds like “puta” which means bit** or who**. We already know it does not say that, but we can’t unhear it 😂
Tbh yes the World Series is more experimental almond heavy shocking factor I think it fits the lore how they tried rock with Guerrilla and Bouncy from the outdo it looks like they are going back to more answer like!
Thank you for this reaction, this MV gives off Guy Ritchie vibes & reminds you of Snatch! I hadnt thought of it before but now that you mention it i can totally see it, with bouncy too. The scene of being run over is an homage to Trainspotting (directed by Danny Boyle). The scene is the same: the guy gets hit by a car, he put his hands over the capo, and looks at the driver and laughs maniacally, and then gets decked by a guy. The cinematic universe of ATEEZ's MVs is just so fun. This wasn't the most epic song, but the video puts the stakes of the "The World" storyline in the scale it needed, and it's great for that. Snatch was a great movie, i think I'll show it to the kids, i dont think they remember it. , San for sure knew what he was doing with that glove,🤣Seonghwa looks amazing in this! They all do, but i love his fits, he looks great in the corset thing with that shirt. & he does look majestic with that spikey thing. Yeosang looks really cool too (but rly its all of them lol) but he also got more lines in this song which is good to see, I honestly thought Seonghwa's Crown of Thornes represented the Stature of Liberty, cause ATEEZ are always fighting for Freedom 🗽 and in the MV, theres BE FREE referenced again, like from Halazia and Inception 😭 Idk, i could be wrong lol. THANK YOU ATEEZ FOR THIS WORK OF ART. 💜👏I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. THEIR PERFORMANCE AT MAMA 2023 WAS ALSO DOPE.
for wooyoung's part (the one shaking his but sassily) They are in Korean. Here are the meanings. " 흔들어 body, body 왔다 갔다 step like this " 흔들어 /heundeuro/ - shake it 왔다 /watda/ - back 갔다 /gatda/ - forth It's just the way the composer of the lyrics worded the lyrics. If there are any Koreans here, kindly explain the --ssda part of the word. I only know that it's a particle for the word.
I can NEVER guess where Ateez is going with a song. This one was so simple compared to, like, Halazia. But considering how over-produced Edenary and Hongjoong usually like their tracks, you know the simplicity was on purpose. (I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just the only way I can describe their style). In general I am a bigger fan their more complex/intense stuff, but this song still slaps.
In the rap part, you said that it sounded like he was saying a bad word, it wasn't Spanish but Portuguese, but I believe there is also a similar word in Spanish
Please please react to the full album... specially IT's You, Silver Light, Arriba, Youth, and Everything..... wait i just listed almost all the b sides 😂
we, portuguese speakers, also have that word as a swear word, its so funny i never fail to giggle when this part comes. the song is a bop, its the best at the gym 👌
I'm an American of Mexican decent, and no, they were not using our puta word. They said, "gata putata," which means to say something, whether it is right or wrong.
5:46 haha you did hear something (they don’t mean it they don’t talk in Spanish there) but yes all of us speakers have been hearing that word from moment 0 t😂😂
3:39. Yea.... i really hate those autotune effect. Sadly the producer team getting so addicted to that effect. This is not the first time. 4:53 yeah...i feel the same. I feel like this is an anti drop. Like there is no climax in this song. I didn't expect that is the chorus. I thought it is the verse. Ah... ATEEZ deserve a better company
@@luckycaster2435 I never blame ATEEZ, but the producer and the company bruh.... KQ and edenary is getting worse and worse. ATEEZ is actually super talented but the producer and company are keep ruining ATEEZ
@@watchHalaziabyAteez hmm. To me their beat production is really good and for the most part so is their vocal production, it's just the writing the I don't like in this song specifically and in a lot of their other tracks. I love a lot of their tracks, especially a number of their titles, but to me a lot of the songs don't really have the punch in the right place or have verses that flow well into each other.
You should definitely react to their new bside Arriba as well, its so freaking good!! Also are you planning to react to Jungkook's album as well sometime?
I'm Portuguese, and I also laughed at the same part, because, despite not being "puta", it sounds exactly the same way. It's a Portuguese word, not Spanish. I think they don't say it the same way. I could be wrong.
The word "puta" is not Korean, it is Portuguese. I said it sounded like that word, I didn't say it was what they sang in the song. And when I said that Spanish people don't say the word "puta" in the same way, that has nothing to do with the Korean word that Ateez sang. So I'm not wrong. You're the one who's wrong because you didn't understand what I was referring to.@@shkawaiii
Waiting to this reactions soo long to explain but there is no swearing or any bad word here ....just slang or miss heard or mix language that why its heard like swearing or whatever 🤭🤭🤭🤭
5:48 same bro 😂 I'm from Spain and I heard "gata puta, maluma blah blah blah" jajajajha Finally the reaction to Crazy Form 🙌 thank you very much for your reactions to Ateez, Atiny we are very grateful^^
San's part in spanich sounds like "gata puta" and in spanish "gata" is a female cat but you can also use it for bitch and "puta" is whore/slut. I think in portuguese is also like this.
My first language is spanish, I speak it everyday, and let me tell you that when that part comes up it takes me out every single time. Like, I just can't seem to unlink the spanish meaning from my brain!! I hear: "gata puta", which is and incredibly audacious out there thing to say 😂😅
Did he say Puta Aaron? Because it definitely sounded like he did. I also realize that certain words that Americans use mean something totally different in other countries and vice versa. Puta is curse word in Spanish but inother countries it could mean something totally different and vice versa.
