I suggest reacting to BTS Room Live Festa 2021. It's a medley of some of their b-side songs. It will show you how versatile their music is. I usually recommend this to new reactors to BTS.

I second this! BTS Room Live & Armypedia (older songs) are great live performances & representations of their music @counterreaction

BTS rap line songs actually have some explanation videos because the lyrics are more complex than it seems.

All three rappers, RM, Suga and JHope, each have their own style, so I wouldn't say one is better than the others. They are just different but all are really versatile (ARMY, please note it is killing me to use their stage names right now). Here is a recommendation for each based on some of my favourites and their recent(ish) solo work. For RM try Wildflower, for Suga try Daechwita (it is a crowd favourite and is the start of a trilogy of songs), for JHope try More (it has a rock flare to it that I really like but try Arson if you want something more rap heavy). If you want to see how they perform together as rappers, there is a medley of their cyphers (look for the BTS Cypher Medley by the channel Enjoy BTS More), which is a lot of fun, or you can try Outro: Tear or Ugh.

Big Hit Music is the company they're signed under, which in turn is an independent label under Hybe (formerly Big Hit Entertainment). Hybe only exists because of BTS's success, as Big Hit only had a few artists under their umbrella and as a company was close to bankruptcy several times before BTS hit it big. The BTS members are all shareholders of Hybe and have voting rights in the running of the company.

There are 3 rappers in BTS but the original and first BTS member is RM ( Rap Monster) whose real name is Kim Namjoon. That's who you should probably check out. My other fave rapper in BTS is SUGA ( August D) Thanks for the reaction! 👍 ❤

Not sure why someone will point out one rapper in BTS as all 3 are great rappers and have very different styles. Check out some of their solo stuff when you get a chance. 💜

I just remembered someone saying 1 of them was the standout. Im sure all 3 of them have the ability. Also is it confirmed they all write their own music? If not its okay, I can always check the writing credits.
@calimade11

@@counterreaction For the most part they write all of their music. RM & Suga are highly accredited writers in South Korea, with RM being one of BTS main song writers and Suga being one of their main producers, but Jhope also is a writer/producer & they all have some amazing solo projects. If you need any suggestions let me know!

RM- the leader of BTS held a total of 218 registered copyrights for songs in South Korea. 🥰 This made him the most credited member, followed by fellow rappers SUGA with 169 credits, and J-hope with 139 credits. 🥰

@@counterreaction RM is accredited with 200+ song credits and I believe Suga has 180+. They write or have a part in the majority of their music. There were some exceptions like this song, Dynamite and Permission to Dance, which were written by American producers and song writers. These 3 songs were anomalies in their discography. They did these 3 songs during the pandemic as carefree, happy songs to cheer up their fans when everyone was going through a rough time. They did get some back lash for it saying they were trying to tap into the western industry as well as selling out and going mainstream. Real Army know how diverse their discography is and 3 poppy English songs out of 500+ songs does NOT mean they are selling out. One thing that makes them special is their diversity and willingness to experiment with different genres. Many reactors have realized that every song they react to of BTSs is totally different from the previous song. Whereas other artists kind of have the same sound. The 3 rappers are RM, Suga and JHope. They take part in almost all of BTS's discography and have a real heavy hand in their own solo songs/albums. They have some solo songs where it is just the 1 rapper that has the song writing and producer credit. RM and Suga came from the underground rap scene and they created an environment in their dorms during their trainee days where they would do free style rapping and making all the other trainees listen to A LOT of music to broaden their knowledge of music and to enhance their musicality. RM and Suga taught Jhope to rap. BTS was originally supposed to be a hiphop group, which is why the first 3 members were rappers. But plans changed and they eventually added vocalists to the group. The 3 rappers were the first to be really involved in their music. They treat it like art. Suga mentioned he thought ALL rappers wrote their own lyrics (which is why they always write their own rap verses). It wasn't till afterwards that he found out not all rappers write their own lyrics. The rap line also forced the vocal line to sing live. In a recent interview, Jin disclosed that it used to bug him that the rap line forced the vocalists to sing live (especially when they had a lot of high notes they had to hit), but now that they're 10 years into the career, he sees how that has made them the artists and vocalists they are today able to sing and dance the way they do. Some other reasons why we love BTS is for their live performances and their meaningful lyrics. Not the case with this specific song, but their other works. If I may make some suggestions for your future reactions. I really love their rendition of J-cole's Born Sinner called Born Singer. This is a live version. No choreography, just them pouring their hearts out on stage with lyrics they wrote themselves sharing their vulnerabilities with their audience. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8cUQ3lF3_O8.html Tear live is another one of my favs from the rapline. On first listen it sounds like a break up song between a couple, but years after the song was released, they disclosed the song is actually to the other members. They were going through a hard time and they even considered disbanding. They wrote this song to express their feelings at that time. The rap line wrote the lyrics. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UDuaJGYe8EQ.html If you would like to know their hip hop influences, you can react to hiphop lover where they sing about their idols ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a_3KCRAYAFQ.html The BTS cyphers 1-4, ddaeng, Ugh, are also rapline songs. Then you have the solos from the rapline. I started my BTS journey with prejudice, thinking they were just another poppy boyband trying to act like rappers. But they really changed my mind. I was really into hiphop growing up so i never thought i would be stanning an idol boy band from south korean proclaiming to have roots in hiphop. I have stopped listening to new hip hop songs in the last decade because mumble rap isn't my thing. and the new age lyrics of who has the bigger butt, nicer car, bigger house, how many people they shot, how wet their P is, was not it for me. BTS talks about real life issues, especially life events they're going through, so it really resonates with people. If you are willing to take a deep dive into their discography and willing to spend some time to understand their story and the messages they're trying to convey, you'll become a fan. It happened to all of us. It starts with "i just want to know their names" and you end up going down a rabbit hole. Hoping to see you continue your journey with them. Honestly, most of the time, you don't fall for them right away because they're not just about singing and dancing. But the more you get to know them, the more you will fall in love with everything about them. I find that their music gets better and better with each listen. Whereas other artists songs gets boring after a few listens. Took me 8-9 months of casually listening to their music and following their career before i couldn't deny their appeal any longer. 😅

I mentioned Agust D/Suga from BTS if that's what you're referring too. Don't get me wrong, I think all of them are talented and enjoy their music. I just recommended Agust D for 3 reasons: *it seemed like his style might fit what Couterreactor is looking for *His Birthday was coming up *Agust D's music to me provides perspective and gives me things to think about All of their solo music has something I like about it. This was just my reasoning.

I loved the reaction. 🥰 I just hope u always have a good mood. Hahah! 🥰 BTS is not over produced at all and their transitions are always smooth. 🥰 Kindly react to Suga's rap songs. People normally suggest Suga but RM- their leader is also very good. 🥰 It depends on your rap style. J-hope, the other rapper was taught by RM and Suga. He was originally a dancer when he became a member of BTS. HE didn't know anything about rapping before. I'm glad you're taking this BTS journey. 🥰 As you go along, you will realize that their songs always sound different. They don't all sound the same. They were a hip-hop group, so you will see the times when they were not wearing colorful outfit and colorful hair. 🥰 They were only wearing all black before. That's how they started back in 2013. I suggest you listen to Suga's Daechwita or Haegum. 🥰 Thank you and we appreciate your reaction. 🥰

I don’t know what kind of rap/hip hop you like but if it’s stuff like Mos Def, Dilated Peoples and J5 I think you would enjoy the solo works of all 3 rappers in BTS. That’s the kind of music I have been listening to since high school and didn’t think I would enjoy BTS at all. A girl I used to work with made me listen to their song called Spine Breaker after I told her I didn’t like boy band music. I was floored at how different they were than to what I had assumed. I listened almost strictly to the rap line like the first year of being a fan but all their music has grown on me since then and I don’t think there’s a song I’d skip at this point 😊

No way to compare the 3 rappers, all very different styles. What you will like is they write deep lyrics. I love them all. Try the Cyphers1-4 For wordplay check out Ddaeng (and the explanation video by dkdktv RM uses the word ddaeng 7 different ways) RM - Joke and Wildflower Suga- Daechwita and Haegeum Jhope - Arson, More and Piece of Piece So many songs to pick from UGH, Outro Tear (once you have seen more, you need to know more about BTS for this one) Welcome to the rabbit hole. I think you will be shocked. 😘💜🫰🏻🫶🏻

I think one of the reasons BTS works so well as a group is they complement each other very well. The three rappers have distinct styles that blend well together. RM’s lyrics are the most layered and/or poetic, Suga’s are the most raw/direct and J-Hope’s are the most rhythmic and obscure (easiest to be lost in translation). I have seen something like this a few times: Suga straight out tells you you’re 💩, RM explains to you why you’re 💩 and J-Hope cheers you up about being 💩.

I don’t know who YOUR favourite rapper will be, but they are all 3 of them insanely talented so I wouldn’t put much stock into others telling you who is better but just discover what you think as you go along. I don’t personally have a preference as all three kill it despite having different styles. If you like lyrics and wordplay etc. then I would recommend not skipping the lyrics though, so I hope you will start turning subtitles on. And for a few songs I would definitely say you will also need to react to the explanation videos to truly be able to understand and appreciate the genius behind their lyrics and music videos 💜

I've watched just a couple of your reactions however in my opinion I like their what I call regular Music which is Korean with a little English. A lot of the fandom will use these English songs as an introduction to BTS. For me they're okay but the real music is in their regular releases and b-sides. Just my opinion. My advice to reactors are you have to have an open mind when you're listening to kpop and BTS. And try not to compare them to us artists. And I am not saying this is what you're doing just giving my opinion again. 💜

I like your honesty about your likes and dislikes. BTS's rappers have their own projects. I would recommend to check them all out and then decide what you think. Relaying on recommendations is fine, but like you said yourself, getting your own opinion is better. To deep your toe a little, how diverse their music is I can recommend Live Room, from FESTA 2021 (FESTA is a debut anniversary celebrations, events, live performances etc.) Have fun exploring! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Thank you for your reaction whoever told you that is so wrong how can you even compare to three play hairstyles are so different? Not blaming you for the statement or anything it's just confusing to me because it's like comparing apples to oranges or like apples to potato chips they're all good they're just so different so how could a comparison be made😂 as I'm sure most people have told you already those other groups companies watch BTS and copy BTS for instance I love stray kids but their company copies BTS suga starts a hosting a talk show then skz does the same. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with them taking inspiration. imitation is the highest form of flattery after all. And stray especially Chris is army to so I think that's so cool you should watch the Agustd trilogy they each have their own style and style changes a little bit based on the they're doing agustd would be my first recommendation put j-hope and rm are both amazing as well
